Best Christmas present I gave myself was to finally be done with this book. I don't think I have to suffer through another one of her books to accept that I will never be a Stephanie Meyer fan. I didn't think it was possible, but this was even worse than Twilight. Ugh.

I enjoyed the premise of this book and how all the plot lines were tied up neatly. It just didn't grab me and it felt like it dragged on a bit.

DNF AT 50% AND EVEN READING THAT FAR WAS GENEROUS.

I don't know what the fuck happened, but this was BORING. I don't remember the last time I was so goddamned bored reading a book, but here I am.

I wanted to give up at 10% but I talked myself out of it, hoping maybe it would get better. It didn't.

Twilight had it's issues, but what it did have going for it was that it sucked you in and was compulsively readable and well-paced and well-written for the most part. This had none of that. It's choppy And painful to read and she couldn't decide, I think, whether to make it a serious spy novel or slightly comedic, because it would swing back and forth.

It's a mess of info-dumping and trying to hard. I give her points for trying something new, but it's a flop.

My most favourite book of 2020 - my goodness it was just so fantastic!

Fast paced and enjoyable.

Intriguing, but too implausible for me with an unbelievable happy ending.

Total crack.

BUT WHAT ABOUT LOLA?

Great book! Kept me highly interested, trying to figure out the “who” behind the scenes and I enjoyed the little romance thrown in the mix.

I really liked this book. The plot was different, I liked the characters, it just felt soooooo looooong. It was like a movie with a 4 hour fight scene. After a while you just need the anxiety to end. I heard this book was picked up for a tv show and I can totally see that happening and being amazing.
