I enjoyed this book up until the middle, then I got bored, then it picked up again towards the end. The last page threw me for a loop. I had guessed it earlier on, but I figured I was wrong....until I wasn't. The only problem I had with this book was it was extremely long just to draw out the suspense. I did not expect the fall-guy.
Among all book thriller, I've read. I have never felt so goosefleshed from this book. Every night when I go home from work, I looked behind my back so no one follows me.
From the begin of the book, it took awhile to come to the tension. If you going to read this book you must keep the focus. Sometimes it shifts character from each other.

3.5 stars, because while this was a page-turner, it wanted you to believe in some pretty ridiculous things. Now, the story involves a website, stalking, women's photos on the newspapers classified ads and a couple of loose plot lines. I liked the main plot, the whole stalking part, it felt suspenseful and surprisingly real - you wouldn't believe what people pay money for and how awful people really are. What didn't work were all the subplots: Zoe's daughter Katie and her big actress dream, Kelly and her sister and something that happened a decade ago and had nothing to do with the rest of the story, a public service agency so incompetent they wouldn't notice hacking... The ending didn't quite hold, because the reasons for why everything happened were pretty damn thin, but this was still an enjoyable read. And I don't know if I'll be able to travel on the tube without wondering what the fellow passengers are up to.
I loved this book! So amazingly creepy and unnerving. This is definitely something that has the potential to happen! Little do you know, someone could always be watching you. On your daily commute, your place of work, anywhere.
Every morning and evening, Zoe Walker takes the same route to the train station, waits at a certain place on the platform, finds her favorite spot in the car, never suspecting that someone is watching her. One night, on her commute home, she sees her photo in a classified ad with a phone number and a listing for FindTheOne.com. The more she checks these listing, new women are featured in this same ad, but Zoe begins to realize that they all have become victims of violent crimes that continue to increase in severity, including murder. Zoe becomes convinced more and more paranoid as she she realizes she could be the next target.
That man smiling at her from across the train, could he simply be a friendly stranger? Or is he someone that has specifically chosen her and is prepared to make his next move?
This book fills you with paranoia. Checking over your shoulder wherever you go. Is someone watching?

This book really picks up in the second half. I'm not sure how it would have played out for me had I read it rather than listened to the audio. I liked the fast paced, suspense in the narrators voice. Surprise ending.
I would have rated this a 4 if not for who the culprit(s) turned out to be, which I thought was pretty implausible. Otherwise I thought this was an interesting storyline that kept me intrigued.
I found the twists in this book pretty obvious, but even so, I enjoyed the ride! The writing was great, it was so easy to get lost in the story. I liked the mystery, it had that classic stalker trope but in a way I've never seen done before. Overall, a solid read.
