Whisked Away by blew me away with the rich fantasy storyline with danger, strangers and underestimated fmc! I loved this fun omegaverse read, it was a refreshing read with all partners expressing what they need and not your stereotypical why choose where itโs all insta-love. Side note: while it is a why choose, there is no m/m love between the two mmc.
Throughout the story we see how strong the fmc is and her desires for her own future. Both mmc accept her and offer her the choice to make her own path. This book truely has it all with soooo much tension (hello slowwww burn), high royal stakes and two Alphas that will have you swooning! ๐
Whisked Away is book one in the Jewels of the Nine Kingdoms series and I cannot wait for the next book! Pick up a copy today and get ready to be Whisked Away ๐

Thank you to Hawthorn & Aster for giving me the opportunity to read and review Whisked Away.
An interesting take on omegaverse dynamics! Loved the FMC and MMCs. Thoroughly enjoyed the strength the FMC had throughout the book! Cannot wait for the second!

I came into this book clearly underestimating it. I had never read an omegaverse story previously and why choose is not a trope that I typically read. However, I loved this book. I could not stop reading it! If you are a spicy reader the spice is spicing on all cylinders ๐ถ๏ธ.
It is a bit of a contradiction, because with as little plot as there is this book should not have any business being over 600 pages (that is not a dig just a fact, bear with me). Enola Douglas is a genius writer and the level of detail that she weaves into her writing is breathtaking. As the reader, you get to see every step of the journey. No big time jumps or montages. You experience everything, which makes for a longer book. Think along the lines of Steinbeck level detail but without having to read an entire chapter about a turtle crossing a road. Not everyone will enjoy that style, but I thought it brought an amazing depth to the character development.
The MMCs are gold standard characters. Learning what they went through as young brothers broke my Momma heart. I cried for Alarik several times. They are written as 2 sides of the same coin. The amount of respect and care that they show for the FMC and each other is incredible.
My only point of disappointment with this book is the lack of development on the main mystery of the story. By the end you really don't learn anything significant about the mystery plotline. We do learn one additional person that is involved, but it was fairly obvious. From the synopsis of the next book, I think this plotline will be a bigger focus in that story which I am looking forward to. I do understand why we likely didn't get far into the mystery as it likely would have added several hundred additional pages to the story.
TLDR; beautiful character development, spice spice spice, and I am very much looking forward to book 2.

I haven't read many Omegaverse books, but this is definitely one of the best that I have read. I enjoyed the why-choose plotline and the way open door spice was combined with an enjoyable storyline. The settings were realistic but fantastical, and the characters were balanced and well fleshed out.
The plot itself is not overly complicated, but itvwas enjable and clearly part of a wider arc - I look forward to seeing how it develops in book 2.
I read this book as an ARC but all views are my own.

A truly awesome book. Iโve read a lot of omegaverse and this still surprised me in the best way. Their dynamic has me yearning for my own two princes.
