3.5 stars rounded up to 4 for goodreads. This one was okay. I enjoyed it but I wasn’t wowed by it. All the travel was fun. Friends to lovers trope.

Giving this one 3.5 (round up to 4). The story of 2 best friends Poppy and Alex and their 12 year friendship - at the end of it all, will they or won’t they???
The first half of this book had me annoyed not going to lie; the last half had me hooked. I couldn’t stand the denial in the first half of what was so obviously true: that they were NOT just friends and totally in love with each other. But once I kept reading and the story developed and played out, the build up made the eventual reveal more satisfying I think. This is a hard review because I’m learning that romcom books aren’t really my favorite genre; the cheesiness kinda gets to me and most of the time I’m frustrated that they won’t just admit how they feel. But all that aside I think this one is more cute than it is cringey and the love/relationship they have is so pure and

I will always love the best friends to lovers trope and I was surprised with how much I loved the time jumping plot. I was hooked because I wanted so bad to know what happened between them. Booklovers may still be my favorite Emily Henry book but the chemistry in this book was unmatched.
