This was amazing. I won't review it because it's a sequel and it's not possible to review it without spoiling anything. But it was great

Still in love with these characters. I feel like they're old friends of mine at this point. And even though I know how this series ends, and I know my heart is going to break, I read it again and again anyway.

4.5☆

Greatest books of the shadowhunter series, loved the whole scene of this, that it was set back in the day and the whole series was just amazing.

I really loved the ending of this one. I love Jem in this one and felt more for William. Throughout the book we get some answers to mystery surrounding Will but i'm still curious to find out just what Tessa is.

Re-leyendo este libro recordé lo mucho que lo amaba y lo mucho que me hacía sufrir, por una razón es mi libro favorito.

OMG. Since I've been reading fantasy novels, I always wanted a romance like the one I read in books, full with scary, dangerous and in-the-edge moments, and didn't mind a love triangle. But after reading this book, I changed my mind. The pain in choosing thwo people you both supposedly love and the pain you give to the one you didn't choose.

I really liked this book and I was about to cry.

(I personally would have like if Tessa chose Will over Jem)

Hmmm... what are my thoughts on Clockwork Prince? They are very conflicted. For one, the plot is kind of boring, and it follows the same pattern as the Mortal Instruments. Cassandra Clare has this bad habit of pairing up everyone at the end, and she has begun to do that in this book. Happy endings are not necessary, and while this book didn't end happily it sure looks like the series will conclude that way.
She really screwed Jessie's character over. That poor girl was very one dimensional, and so is Sophie at the moment. All of my questions that went unanswered about the first book were still unanswered because the story went off on a little side-plot about Will's life and what makes it acceptable for him to be a jerk. I still don't love Will. I know I am supposed to but he is so inconsistent.
My biggest critique of the last book was her unnecessary references to other novels, probably in an attempt to authenticate the 'Victorian' England setting, because they really bogged down the plot. This trend continues in this book, but instead of just referencing passages of other novels she almost full on quotes other novels. There was a part on page 339 that was a poorly paraphrased quote from Pride and Prejudice that had none of the appeal of Mr. Darcy:

"Tell me this truth of which you speak. If then you still desire no further connection with me, I will respect your wishes. I ask only for an hour or so of your time." His eyes pleaded with her. "Please?""

Uggh. That little bit about eyes pleading also made me want to throw out this book. Something has to be said about an author that can write a great love story and action novel in 300 or so pages. This book did not need to be 502 pages, and it's only the second installment of a series. Uh oh no thank you. Despite all of it's faults, I am giving it a three because the love triangle was okay and somewhat enjoyable. Yes that's right the love triangle was enjoyable. Sue me for liking it.

FAVORITE!!!!!
