This was super in interesting! I really liked the three parts and getting POVs from Amber and Daphne. The first part (Amber) felt like Verity-vibes. I loved part 2 (Daphne's POV). Girl had a plan and she executed!! Still don’t think I’m a huge psychological thriller fan but this was entertaining.

I almost did finish this book. I hate the main character. Hate. It turned me off. However, I am trying to listen to more things that go against the way I think so I was pushing myself to stick it out. It was hard though. And then halfway in, now I didn't want to go to work and have to stop reading. Seems to be a good thing I stuck it out. I guess we shall see.
After having finished, I can say this book was hard to read. The first half was slow and the character wasn't likable. Then you start to see other perspectives. While it does pick up a good bit in the second half, it also hits on so many topics that are just hard to read about.

Wow, this was definitely a thrilling read for me. I couldn’t put the book down. Here we are following Amber who is essentially trying to steal Daphne’s life (her so called “best friend”). Someone wrote a review on Goodreads that said, “Hide your wife. Hide your kids. Hide your husband. Because Amber is on the prowl…” I really don’t know a better way to sum this book up other than that 😂. Just a pure stroke of genius. Amber is just horrible and makes decisions that I would never even think to make. Yet, I kept wanting to know what she’d do next!

This book is amazing. If you have read The Housemaid by Freida McFadden but not this book, firstly; I’m so sorry. Secondly, I also read McFadden’s book first and really enjoyed it until I realized upon reading this book that she totally copied the plot of this book, which was published first.
Moderate: Domestic abuse

Too slow and not interesting. Amber just complained about the fact that Daphne had money and was doing something good. She complained about the kids being kids yet perpetuated the actions.

Woah. I really really enjoyed this one! Some parts made me laugh and others made my skin crawl. This was a wild ride.

Book club read: The Last Mrs. Parrish is a predictable, psychological thriller. 3⭐️’s for the plot being interesting enough to keep me turning the pages, but... before that, this book was almost filed as a DNF…because it starts out real slow & corny.
3 characters: Daphne, Jackson & Amber. Way too much time was spent on Amber…EW. She drones on & on about the lifestyles of the rich. The cliches were ridiculous: “green with envy”, “Bunny”, etc…FYI to the Constantine sisters (co-authors): we don't need it spelled out every time somebody is being devious...line after line…we get it! Amber is crazy. Would’ve been nice to figure it out on my own.
The twist with Jackson & “Part 2” of the book, while twisty, was no surprise. I wish we had learned more about Jackson & what made him the way he was. Think Fifty Shades of Grey but substitute Christian with Jackson the psychopath. I found so much of the book hard to believe.
Once again…psychological thrillers aren’t my thing. This one left me feeling icky & with a desire to buy the cheesy socks that say: “I Hate People”. It’s a quick read & pretty evil…but like a good National Enquirer, you can’t resist turning the pages.
