It was a cute story with a great amount of spice. The characters were charming and the plot was interesting. Read all of the book in one sitting. Writing was also very easy to get into.
Get me a Mark in this life and I don’t dare ask for something anymore.

What a gem! Heartbreak for Hire is sweet rom com. More like chick lit. Light hearted with a twist of spy. I assure you, the spy part is hilarious.
Miss Hartl certainly won my heart with her story. I wish this book is made into series. I am curios with Emma. She seems like a bad ass heroine.
4 stars

Good thing I have no sense of what good writing is I’m seeing a lot of complaints about that. What I do get is that this book isn’t for everyone it’s really extreme and crazy but I loved it
Sonia Hartl's Heartbreak for Hire is a fun read. While not my personal favorite, it will surely find it's fan base amongst readers who enjoy Enemies-to-Lovers.
Brinkley, like the other three women of Heartbreak for Hire, was handpicked for her job. She fine to let her former academic "friends" believe she crashed and burned after dropping out of grad school. In reality, Brinkley helps women get revenge on the men in their lives that have screwed them. It's the perfect job for her allowing her to empower women, work our trauma from a past relationship, and the pay is so good she is quickly saving enough money to open the art gallery of her dreams. That is until H4H's owner decides to bring 4 male heartbreakers onto the team. One of whom just so happens to be on of Brinkley's former targets -- the very sexy academic Mark.
As Brinkley starts to realize that maybe being a Heartbreak isn't helping women as much as she thought she was, she contends that people might not always be who they appear to be. And maybe Mark isn't who she thought he was either.

I'm so glad I decided to pick this up. After reading some other comments, I thought this was going to be a totally different experience.
Brinkley, (love the name btw), certainly doesn't have everything figured out. Yeah, her job pays the bills and lets her save enough to dream that one day she'll finally open her art gallery. She was unfortunately involved in an abusive relationship and an opportunistic woman 'saved' Brinkley and offered her a chance to get 'revenge' on men. Okay, Margo was a morally gray character and I'm still not sure what her real intentions were but I'm leaning toward opportunistic. Now, Brinkley takes revenge, for a price, on other women's colleagues/exes, by taking their ego down a notch.
Enter Mark. Brinkley's latest target. Now, they've suddenly become work colleagues and she's not happy about it. But he's sexy as hell and makes her want to take risks...
I was rooting for them ever since their first encounter. Their hate-love interactions were funny and when they finally kissed... I was smiling. Sure there are some things that were ultimately ridiculous, and there were some loose ends here and there, but I was having fun. The conflict was serious enough and the resolution was good. Great read.

I. Loved. This. Book.
Phenomenal characters with real baggage who struggle to move past what they’ve been through because they’re trapped in a cycle of being taken advantage of. Just… wow.
Brinkley Saunders works at Heartbreak for Hire where she is hired to, you guessed it, break people’s hearts. Granted, her specific job is to break down men’s egos, which she will gladly do after the crap she’s been through in her past.
But how do we know when we’re hearing the right side of the story? What if the woman who hired Brinkley was the one in the wrong? What if the man she is set to take down a notch hasn’t done anything wrong?
What if he’s hired to work side-by-side her?
Brinkley has never fallen for target before, but that doesn’t mean there can’t be a first time.
This book was wonderful. I loved the banter, the illicit romance, the inability to stay away from each other – but most of all, the friendship that developed between Brinkley and Mark.
I also love the fight for true passion (beyond the romance) in chasing their dreams in life, battling the obstacles in their way, and holding out for what they truly deserve in life: happiness.
