I really enjoyed this and thought it was a great debut novel

- childhood friends to lovers
- second chance
- small town
- co-workers

I loved the small town setting, both family’s and all the side characters - it was so fun and a place that I could get lost in

I really enjoyed the build up to the characters getting back together and it was so good when it finally happened

I love their relationship and how supportive they were of each other and although it took some time to open up about things that happened in their past but they were always there for each other

Thank you to the author and netgalley for the arc - all opinions are my own

Johanna and Patrick, what an adventure has been reading about you both !!! I have absolutely loved it. From beginning to end, the whole relation was definitely a Rollercoaster, but I am so glad the pieces felt back in place. Thank you, Ronnie, for this adventure. Definitely recommended to everyone.

Jo and Patrick were childhood best friends turned almost lovers.  But just as they were about to be more, life had other plans.  Now six years later, Jo is back in Sutton Bay and working with Patrick to help save their families’ co-owned restaurant.

I liked this story.  For a debut it was solid.  The middle did drag on for me and I found myself losing interest at times.  If it had been a little shorter I think it would have been a solid 4 star for me.  There are some plot points that I think could have been stronger (saving the restaurant).  I did like seeing strong co-parenting happening between the MMC and his daughter’s mother.  Patrick was so patient with Joanna as she navigated being back in Sutton Bay and all the memories that brought with it.
