I adore Tori and her pack. I was a little annoyed how Tori was treating Ben through most of the book, just seemed to push outside of her character. I think the end seems a bit forced with the Chance spin, even though I felt something was going to occur with him, it was a bit much. But any criticism I may have is swept aside by Hiram and Shelton. I found myself laughing out loud several times at these two.

The serial killer calling himself the Gamemaster has just been convicted thanks to Tory's testimony. But no sooner than congratulations are handed out a new crime strikes. Two of Ms Brennan's classmates have been kidnapped and it is up to our band of super-powered high schoolers to do what the cops can't. Find the missing teens before it's too late!

This one felt like it moved along a lot quicker than the previous entries in the series. Possibly because it wasn't as intricate. There were no big puzzles or red herrings leading every on in the wrong direction. It was a simple find the kidnapper story with a major revelation at the end.

Read this review on my blog: https://bookmarkedreading.wordpress.com/2015/09/28/book-review-exposure/

I know you're probably getting fed up of me reviewing every book in this series, so I'll (try to) keep this short.

Oh my God. This is definitely my favourite book in the Virals series so far. The Virals gang is drawn into yet more trouble, putting Tory and her new best friend in severe danger. Her relationship with Ben is wobbly, after the whole Gamemaster situation and his admission to certain feelings toward his packmate.

As usual, this book has the perfect mix or crime, problem-solving, adventure, humour, teenage input and a hell of a lot more. A strong 4.5 for this book! Can't wait to read the final book in the series, Terminal.

Very angst. Much unbelievable. Such bored.

And there you have it. But seriously, each new book in the series gets progressively worse. The characters, by which I mean Ben and Chance, get more annoying, the book is always at least 100 pages too long, and the plot for the individual books are pathetic or ill-written.

For example, Chance. Chance is something like 19. He's a multi-billionaire. And he IS Jackson Whittemore from Teen Wolf, no joke. His whole life is consumed with finding out what Tory and her gang pack are and becoming it too. He cannot rest till he has accomplished his goal and he's a giant jackass, to boot. Despite being a bajillionarie, I find it highly unbelievable that he can literally do whatever he wants and experiment in labs and wander in and out of anywhere and everywhere and no one ever questions him or wonders what he's doing or anything. Urgh.

Or, and here's a gem, why would two teenagers who wish to fake their kidnapping in order to get ransom money from their (apparently) horrible stepfather ASK A COP TO HELP THEM? Like, how did that even come about?

Kids: *wander into police station*

Cops: *eating donuts*

Kids: *spot a likely candidate*

Kids: Hey, mister. Want to help us fake our kidnapping for $5 million ransom, which is entirely too much to ask, so that we can use that money to make our own way in the world, even though this is an ill-fated plot that will never work out?

Likely Candidate: *silently ponders*

Kids: Oh, pretty please, mister cop!! We'll give you $1 million of it.

Likely Candidate: Okay!!

And like any good self-enterprising cop, Likely Candidate plans to double-cross the Kids, kill everyone in his way, and abscond with the $5 million.

Just not getting into this series and, after picking up the last book and paging absentmindedly through it, I shan't be finishing the series. I simply don't care enough.

I loved this one! Starting with the trial of the Game Master from Code, the Virals shortly after discover two of their classmates have been kidnapped. They search for clues, while trying to crack the encryption on a flashdrive of Karsten's that presumably contains details of the experimental virus that turned the group into Virals. They get help from a hacker in breaking the encryption on the files, but also discover links to files on another server, much more recently accessed. They discover Chance has been nosing around, which unnerves them. Then Tory's friend Ella is kidnapped and action zooms faster as the group tries to find any clue to her whereabouts. Everything comes to a climatic showdown, and a cliffhanger regarding the research at the end.

Okay, whoa. There's gonna be another one?!?!?!? I mean, yay! That's great! But still... Did NOT see that comin'!!! The book did way improve though by the end (much much better than beginning. Plus I recovered from Max Ride syndrome, as I'm callin' it now).

I read the first Virals book a few years ago and I absolutely loved it! I quickly picked up the next two books and adored the characters, the plot and the writing.
Only the first three books were translated into german and although I loved the series I wasn't yet good enough in english to read Exposure.
That was, like one or two years ago. So last week I was browsing through Amazon and discovered Exposure! I used to love these series so I bought it of course.

I had so high expectations for this book and I have to admit that I was a bit disappointed.
I mean, it's still good and all but it wasn't that great. Tory annoyed me sometimes a lot and a few times the virals didn't felt like teenagers to me rather adults. And the first 250 pages or so weren't really much action.
But Exposure also reminded me of how much I love these books. The viral are such a great team and Kit is really cool!

My 16 year old son read this along with the others in the series and really enjoyed them.

I’m not sure how I feel about the ending, but I’m more excited to read the next book than I was. I like that the book 5? 4? plot has been building since book 1. This books plot wasn’t as fun to follow as the others, but it was still a great time. I like the character development, and I liked the pacing of the book.
