I really absolutely love how Rick riordan can tie in myth with characters from today. You're learning about Egyptian history and you don't even know you're learning. Subconsciously through the story you learn about the various Egyptian gods, pharaohs, and histories. I love this series and I hope one day to see Rick riordan tie this in with his other series, like he did with Peru Jackson and Camp Jupiter.
Aaah!! I am so happy I read this!!! I absolutely loved it! It's so sad that this is the last one but I still think that the ending for this series was satisfying. Basically this is the third book in the Kane chronicles and in this book the Kane siblings have their final battle with chaos. This book is an amazing, fast paced adventure with lovable characters and just the right about of emotion and laughter mixed in. I guess that's really all I can say without spoiling it...

First of all I would just like to say... YESSS!!! I knew it!! I totally knew that Anubis and Walt were gonna merge!! I knew it as soon as I read the second book! I also said that I wouldn't be satisfied if she chose Walt but she did sort of choose him since Anubis is only in the Duat.. Well anyway I have to say that I was very happy with the way that thing got resolved!! Well done Rick Riordan!
I was very happy in the way that everything got resolved actually.. I enjoyed it so much I don't even have anything remotely annoying to say about this book! Hence the 5 stars of course...
All in all, the book was fantastic, the mythology as interesting as ever, the characters absolutely lovable and well the whole adventure left me touched and laughing in all the right moments! End of rant.

4.5⭐️ This book was INSANE. I’m truly mind blown and baffled. I would say this book is better than the other two In this trilogy, but I do wish they were more books in this series. I was disappointed when I found out there were only three books in this series. Also I do admit I was 100% sure Walt wouldn’t make it out alive, but somehow, he did. And the idea of Walt and Anubis conjoining together or whatever honestly still doesn’t sit right with me

Overall this was my favorite book of the Kane Chronicles. Rick Riordan is one of my favorites as is The Percy Jackson Series. And while I enjoyed the Percy Jackson and The Heroes of Olympus series more, The Kane Chronicles still held its own.
And while I found some of the relationships a bit awkward, I enjoyed the sibling bond between Sadie and Carter and thought that the series wrapped up quite nicely, leaving just a few things open ended to suggest that maybe this might not be the last we'll hear from the Kane's. If anything to that extent is planned though, I have no idea.

4 stars, because even though this book is predictable, it's still super fun. Although I wasn't a fan of how the Sadie-Walt-Anubis love triangle was resolved. That was just weird.
