Where to start? I am not going to lie, this one was a little tough for me to read. I typically always LOVE RDV's books, and I honestly have not read any other books from M. Robinson. I've read dark books before, but I think the whole pet/master thing is what made me not really love the book. Its kind of frustrating. Reading this book will definitely send on you a roller coaster of emotions. I highly encourage everyone to read all the warnings before deciding if this book is the book for you. To me it was a night and day difference from Mafia Casanova.

When we left off in Mafia Casanova, Juliet Sinacore had been taken. That's all we knew. We begin Falling for the Villain, finding out precisely what kind of situation she is in. This book is on the dark side; it heads into slave/master territory. If you are not into dark romance, this is definitely not for you. You have to be in a certain mindset to enjoy the nuances of what makes a slave/master romance. I have read them a couple of times, it's not my go-to, but I will read it to get the perspective of the authors and the characters. Juliet comes from a violent family; it's how she's been raised. Let's be honest; she's not been living in the burbs with her loving daddy and big brother. If you've read Mafia Casanova, you know big brother is not a nice guy. And if you are thinking about this book, you like a little dark spice in your life, then this book is for you.

Donovan is a complex character. You see his dark side, but you see how it came to be. And let's be honest, this is dark romantic fiction (am I expecting reality? NO!), and our authors do a fantastic job of revealing Donovan and how Juliet affects him. We see the struggle he has with who he is and who he wants to be with Juliet. And we see how difficult that is with the past he has and how he got to where he is. Falling for the Villain is a tension-filled story with twists and turns. It's brutal at times, sweetly romantic at times, and steam-your-Kindle-up HOT at times. It all blends to create a great book on its own merits but a terrific follow-up to Mafia Casanova. I do hope there will be more from this dynamic writing team-up because they set a pretty high bar for dark mafia romance with these two books.

Falling for the Villain is a standalone mafia story by Rachel Van Dyken and M. Robinson. I always read the synopsis before every book. I just have to know! I'm glad I read the trigger because this is way out of my comfort zone. But I have read almost all of Rachel's books and I knew she would help make it ok. Maybe. Juliet Sinacore is a mafia princess who is young, but ready to be part of the family business. Then she's taken. By a stranger. A monster. And forced to endure her worst nightmare. Only for it to become something she never expected. A need. A want. She didn't expect it to happen, but Donovan did what he always wanted. Made her his. Ok! I survived it and it was hard at times, but if you love these kinds of stories, you will love this!

When Authors M. Robinson & Rachel Van Dyken said they were going on a different direction I was unexpectedly surprised how Donovan and Juliet's story will turn out. The first parts of their story was twisted and dark that it had me feeling so many different ways. This was a total change from Mafia Casanova and it did not disappoint. Holy smokes the scenes had me on the edge of my seat...afraid to read more and wanting to know what happens next. I was torn on how I wanted their story to turn out and intrigue at the same time. This read will mess with your mind and it will do it good.

Please read the author's warnings about the content of this book because is not for everyone.

I couldn't pick this story up fast enough. I absolutely loved the first book that these two authors co-wrote together and while this one is WILDLY different, I loved it just as much. It pushes the boundaries and limits while making you fall in love with the villain right along with Juliet.

I don't want to give anything away but I couldn't put this story down and while it won't be for everyone, it was dark, twisty, and showed how truly thin the line is between love and hate.

Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Juliet & Donovan
Juliet is a pianist and daughter of a mob boss. Though she grew up in the world she’s been sheltered from it most her life.
Donovan is a “trainer” of submissives. He is dominating, sadistic and fierce. He has a troubled past that has grown him into who he is and the way he is now.
This is a very dark submissive “pet” and master story where Juliet is held as Donovan’s captive. Juliet has Stockholm Syndrome written all over her. She is a first for Donovan in so many ways. She begins to break him and he shows a side to her no one before has ever seen. He’s Master and he’s Donovan.
This was so beautifully written in such a dark way. It flowed so amazingly. These two ladies collaborated in such a way that you would have thought they are one.
I highly recommend if you like DARK romance. But please read all the warnings first before diving in.

I wasn’t expecting this to be so dark as it is but man I am here for it. I loved everything about it.

Donovan is just a complex being and you can’t help but feel for him. He is a Villain but when he lets himself free it’s just beautiful to see and the way he worships the heroine is delightful.
The last 10% of this book was fricking amazing!

I LOVED THIS and if you’re looking for a Villain who crosses the line but still finds his match, well this is for you!
