I thought this was a cute story about Adara, a very stoic little girl who loves an ice dragon, and their friendship teaches her the true meaning of Christmas.
I am just kidding, this is George R R Martin, there’s a battle.
But their bond made the story interesting and I enjoyed it.

Fantastic story, beautiful illustration, fast read. Loved it. Some of the illustrations were a bit off from what is described in the text. Otherwise it's going to be a fantastic addition to my home library.
mysterious fast-paced

I picked this book up for my niece, for her 11th birthday. Although I am not quite sure, it will probably suit my 7-year old nephew better, with his penchant for dragons. The story is short and easy, beautifully illustrated. It's quite beautifully written, but it is very much aimed at a young audience. It's about a fifteen minute read for an adult.

The story is that of Adara, a winter's child, with a cold touch. Her mother died during labor. She befriends an ice dragon that comes to visit her every winter. There is a war going on, and going badly. The ice dragon is finally enlisted to save Adara's family. The ending is a bit of a shock, and quite unexpected. This is of course George R. R. Martin, and he keeps killing characters even in books written for children. What else can we expect?!
medium-paced

A cute little novella set in the same world as A Game of Thrones.
Definitely helping me gear up to read the last book published in the series in the hopes that Winds of Winter is published one day.

Libro infantil entrañable, sencillo y bonito.

I really enjoyed this book. It didn't take long to read at all and the illustrations are absolutely beautiful. Definitely putting this on my favourites shelf.
