This book was great!! I must admit, I was getting a little worried about the ending because it was getting closer and closer to the end and I wasn't seeing a happy ending. I was worried for nothing. I'm not going to lie and say it ended the way I wanted because it didn't. I loved what happened At the very end but I wished it was more heart wrenching and I expected more. But besides that this book was incredible and it made me cry and laugh. And honestly I love all the side characters!! Vida and Chubs are pretty much the funniest characters there are. Plus Liam is just heart melting. All in all, I recommend this series to everyone who hasn't read it yet!!

crying sobbing all of it throughout this book holy shit

To be honest, this series kind of went downhill for me. Like with the second book, I felt like there was a lot of drawn-out filler, and the ending was tied up way too neatly.

these books make me wanna go on road trip

The sexist undertones just ruined it for me.

In The Afterlight is the third book in The Darkest Minds series written by Alexandra Bracken and takes place two months after the last book.

After the sad ending of Never Fade, we are left to wonder what happened to the survivors. With betrayal on the doorstep, the characters face a lot of personal losses. We see the final battle in this book which is more political than action but has a very satisfying ending with an open door for more adventures.

Alexandra Bracken shows off her amazing skills by giving us more amazing relationship development. Ruby and Cole have a brilliant friendship which deals with mental illness and PTSD very well.

Every single character has an excellent end to their story. My personal favourite is Zu's, she deserved what she got in the end and yes, she has a lot of healing to do but it is nice to see her joyful ending.

As well as the last book, I wanted to throw this one across the room when it came to Liam and Ruby's relationship. It was a rollercoaster ride and will definitely be worth a read.

This book was a nice conclusion to Ruby's story and I cannot wait for Zu's story to continue in the forth and final book of the series.

i cant believe this is over. oh lord, im gonna miss these characters so much. i just really, really love them so much and it hurts to say goodbye.

AND SAM AND LUCAS DIDNT GET AN ENDING KILL ME NOW I WANT TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WITH THEM IM GONNA BURN DOWN THIS WORLD IF WE DONT GET ANOTHER SHORT STORY WITH THE ENDING OF THEM GIVE THIS SHIT TO ME NOW
