WOW!! Such honest and relatable poems for women. I felt this deep in my soul! Definitely, an intense read but so worth it. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I have heard so many people rave about this one that I just had to try it out myself. I am still not a too big fan of poetry, so I was a bit hesitant, but after a bumpy start I was totally into this book, I even cried at points as it was so fucking beautiful. About being a woman, slaying those dragons and being your own knight, relationships, losing family, mourning and praying that no one else dies, finding love, abuse, loving books, finding a place to belong, society, and more. With each poem I wanted more. More. More.
The poems vary from short one sentences to longer once. I definitely loved the sentences she ends her poems with (the ones in cursive). They made the poem more powerful, and gave that the extra punch. Recommend to all.

A lovely collection that flows like a stream-of-consciousness journal; I think young adult readers and teens will connect most with the style on content. There were some great phrases that will stick with me.

O.W.L.s Readathon 2020

β€œfiction: the ocean i dive headfirst into when i can no longer breathe in reality.”

I don't read poetry often (or at all really), but one of the challenges for this readathon was to step outside my comfort zone, so naturally this is where I would end up.... Little did I know that I would be sobbing my eyes out while reading this at 4 am. While not everything in this resonated with me, there were a few key passages that touched my soul. I don't think this necessarily "converted" me to poetry, it does make me curious to try out more in the future, especially the others in this series.

This is not what comes to my mind when I think/speak of poetry. Even tho poetry's not usual my style I was [hoping (?)] expecting something different. That beeing said I really liked the message inserted here. Self-love and self-respect is important, probably two of the most important things to have. But in the end I think it's a easy and lovely read but not wat I was expecting
