OMG. so fun. hahahah :D really made me feel better on a sad day!

Rebecca was infuriating. The writing style was quick and quirky. I definitely feel inspired NOT to shop constantly (even for a bargain).

I spent most of the book stressed about her finances., and sad because I know there are people with debt issues. The romance also wasn’t very interesting.
I listened to the audiobook.

When you tell people you love the Shopaholic series they WILL laugh at you.

Unless they have ever read it themselves. I cannot even begin to describe the charm of these books. Sure its fluffy chick-lit, but these stories warm my heart.

Kinsella's characters are so endearing, her plots are outrageous yet at the same time relatable and I am a sucker for an awkward girl who seemingly does everything wrong, only to find out in the end that she was doing it just right.

Bridget Jones may be the quintessential brit-chick-lit, but I would argue that Shopaholic is alot better.

Stressful

a classic chick-lit.. just read to know the story..

I had high hopes for this book. I felt it would be like slipping on my favourite pair of slippers and eating lots of chocolate - guilty pleasures.

However I must admit I was disappointed with "Confessions of a Shopaholic" (also known as "The Secret Dreamworld of a Shopaholic") by Sophie Kinsella.

Don't get me wrong, there were moments that I laughed out loud and it was easy to identify (at times) with the situations the main character, Becky, found herself in. At the same time, I found her to be unlikable and it made it hard for me to warm to the story when I couldn't warm to her.

Disappointed.

This was so much fun! :)

I have mixed feelings about this book. I've wanted to read it for quite a while and I was happy when I finally managed to get this book. Especially after I read some other books from Sophie Kinsella which I enjoyed a lot. However, this one didn't get me so much.
The storyline is okay and I think it's equally well written as those previous books I read, but the main character just annoyed me so much. Maybe because I'm not really able to relate (as I think I'm quite good at saving money and not buying expensive things) but every time she spent the money she didn't have on something stupid (like the cookbook when she could've got some recipes of the internet) I just felt so annoyed. I get it that there are people who have serious problems with spending their money on things they don't really need, but at least use some common sense and get things you can get for free and spend your money on something you can't get for free.
So now I'm not sure whether I wanna read the rest of the books from this series or not. Especially when there are so many other books out there that may not have a main character that annoys me.

I heard so many good things about this book, but I had a hard time really getting into it. The story was too repeticious.
