Standalone Viking Romance Novella

Spice level- 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

This is a very dark but very accurate Viking Romance Novella.
The book is short and quick to get through but it's heavy and hard to process at some points.
Please look at content warnings before reading. I personally loved this story, I loved the accuracy of what I've pictured Viking life to be like and I loved that the author wasn't afraid to show how awful it could be. I am very happy that the author gave us the happy ending, I don't think my heart could have handled it ending any other way. Cherine deserved good in life after everything she went through and the underlying message of being able to build a beautiful future despite your past was exactly the message I needed in life right now. Overall I highly recommend this book but just know what you're getting into before you start it.

A retelling of a Viking tale of conquest in France.

🗺️ This story takes place in Europe and is based off of historical happenings.

🌶️ The spice is here my friends! This one is NSFW and maybe don't let the kiddies pick up this one for some Viking adventures.

📚 This book is for you if you enjoy a sassy FMC who enjoys her body.

Please do ensure that you read the trigger warnings before reading as there are a few topics that could cause issues.

✈️ An easy read that at times does have some serious moments. Great for travel if you are ok reading the spicy scenes in public otherwise a good night time read at home with a glass of wine.

Wow, what awesome little novella this was!
Katina has once again written something special here.
As murderous and barbaric as the entire book is it was interesting to read from Erik's third person perspective as if he was actually a side character in Cherine's story.
Classic Stockholm Syndrome Trope is perfect here and honestly what I would have expected those taken so violently by the Viking when they ransacked villages and ports.

Rolls character I enjoyed a lot given his split personality, one moment gentle and caring and then hard and uncaring in the same breath.
I did not expect Ross to be the returning enemy but I am glad he got what was coming to him and at the hands of Cherine no less.

Thank you Karina for another brilliant read.
You never fail to disappoint.

I understand this was a novella, but the plot was so thin. And I know that the reason I picked this up was for a quick romance bit, but it was a little boring.
