The bar is on the FLOOR. There was NO groveling after the way they treated her. She goes into heat and it’s suddenly “omg I love you!” Girl stand up!!! Damien was nothing but a pretentious asshole and a big baby. I’ll never understand why authors write these bottom of the barrel, crap men and don’t actually do anything to redeem them. We have that in real life already, why would I want that in written form as well? Clearly I have a lot of feelings about this book, but ultimately I’m disappointed.
I was so intrigued and excited by the blurb but parts of this definitely felt rushed and unfinished.
I’m a sucker for the rejected mate trope and a good grovel - sadly there was practically no groveling from these alphas. They left Evie half bonded and rejected to get her to leave them. Meanwhile the head alpha pined for an omega who left their pack.
I wanted to love Evie. She’s badass. She didn’t take any of Damien’s shit and showed him who’s boss. She was the perfect mix of sweet, sassy, and strong. I really thought she had more of a backbone and was going to have her pack on their knees begging for forgiveness.
After she ends up in the hospital because of her half bonds the book skips a few weeks, and the characters say she’s holding herself in her room away from them. But that’s it all that time just missing.
They gave her a new room/nest, said sorry and that was basically all the groveling we saw. One time hop later and the next thing we know she's in heat and is like sure come help me through this.
It all felt rushed, and I wish we saw more of their inner turmoil or struggles with everything that they put her through and how they were going to fix things.
All in all, it was okay but had the potential to be great.

3.5/5 Stars
I think Knot the One They Want had a lot of potential.
It has the type of genre and tropes that I hop onto a book, no questions asked.
You think, rejected mates, heart ripped out, then immaculate groveling, but you would be slightly wrong.
You get a rejected, heart-ripped-out omegaverse, but there was no groveling, and this is where the biggest issue lies for me. The second issue lies in the disconnect between enemies to lovers. It doesn't flow seamlessly from hating the fmc to being head over heals for her. It just... happens one day.
The FMC was rejected by her fated, scent-matched mates. She is a bubbly, take no sh*t kind of omega but is forced into this terrible pack by her dad and stepmom (who despises her.) The alphas are also forced into mating/accepting the fmc but aren't happy about it. One alpha, in particular, is still in love, obsessed, and chasing after the first omega they bonded/mated to. However, she took off shortly after, leaving the guys heartbroken and slightly feral for her.
To recap, I really think this book could've been one of my favorites if Harper Lennox had added any groveling and better flow between hate and love. There isn't much flow between disliking the fmc and then falling for her completely. There could've been better relationship-building, wooing, dates, etc.
Tropes: rejected mates, reverse harem, hurt/trauma, omegaverse

A good story, I do wish that they grovel more since she forgave them quite fast. I do wish I dive deeper into some stuff instead of being surface level, A little more depth would be nice but overall it’s a good book
