The first impression that this book left me is how little we know and think about vital activities like breathing. It was truly enlightening to read about the importance of nasal breathing, the underdevelopment of our jaws, and the power of breathing techniques. I am now trying to pay more attention to my breathing and hope to do some exercises soon.
On the negative side, I did not like the excessive amount of biographical information that is disseminated in the book. Sometimes it reads like a memoir, but that's not what I was interested in.

READ THIS BOOK. You will benefit from it, even if some of it seems kooky.
This book was phenomenal, well written for both laymen and scientists alike.
He does a great job at tying in his personal experimentation with documented research.
Just all around interesting research and this book has renewed my interest in breath work. Definitely a book worth reading.

J’ai trouvé le rythme et le ton inconstants. Le début a mieux réussi à capter mon attention, puis j’ai eu de la difficulté à terminer. Peut-être était-ce les techniques plus surprenantes, additionnées au sentiment de lire un journal d’expériences personnes troué. Dans l’ensemble j’ai trouvé l’ouvrage intéressant mais pas une lecture agréable.
