I consciously think about how I'm breathing now like all the time so thanks James Nestor.
And who knew mewing was started by a British dentist in his 70s who lives in a castle.
Really interesting! And I think there's a lot to like and good information to take from here (also like some strange almost backwards phrenology going on at some points). But the idea proper breathing can 'cure ADHD' is fucking bullshit lol

I enjoy very much that there are more scientists putting energy into exploring the possibilities of the breath. However, each of these individual techniques are embedded within a larger system of training for a reason.
It’s not just the “what”, but the how, and the why.
These methods should only be a small step within a larger system of discovery and healing. Don’t simply take them out of context and use them individually, or they can become harmful. Please be gentle with your health!
I have spent the better part of a decade in a Daoist monastery Studying methods like this, and have seen too many beginning students injure themselves when they have just enough information to become dangerous to their own health.
Go slowly. Learn from a master. Feel better.
