Hell yeah

I love a good shifter book, and this one is one of my new faves. I love the mythological shifter squad of hotties, LOVE the concept of a phoenix shifter! Can't wait to see her grow her abilities and strength. Nix is a SURVIVOR.

eh... The idea, plot could have been so so good.
I just couldn’t stand the both h and Hs. The boys would have been fine if it wasn’t for super immature h. She seemed almost stupid.. I think author tried to make her socially unaware etc but it came out just annoying :/

I have a love-hate relationship with stumbling upon new series on Kindle Unlimited, because you never really know what you're going to get. Some are fabulous, some are terrible. This one was a solid "good", a fun supernatural tale with a likeable and determined heroine and an interesting twist on the traditional romance story arc. I've never picked up a "reverse harem" title before and probably wouldn't go out of my way to seek it out, but in this story it worked.

There are some minimal typos and usage errors that probably wouldn't bother a more casual reader but tend to jump out to me because of my background in journalism and copyediting. But the story was engrossing enough to overlook these minor flaws, and keep me interested enough to pick up the next title in the series... an absolute must, since the first book ends on a cliffhanger (another pet peeve and one that really would have irked me if the second book wasn't already available!). While the second ends on a more resolved note, it left enough unresolved to leave the reader eagerly awaiting book three.

Good read!

I did not appreciate the cliffhanger, but loved the book and the concept of the mythologicals. Here's to hoping for a short wait for book 2!

Enjoyed this more than I expected

When I started this it took me a couple of pages to really give it a chance but boy am I glad I did! The characters are so great and I love the mythological creatures aspect. That cliffhanger has killed me I'm so glad there's a second.

I'm re rereading it because the third one is coming out soon and I love it just as much if not more

2 years later after having stopped reading reverse Harem books, this one gets a 3 stars mostly for old time's sakes

Mini-Review:

It's hard to believe in the the setting & plot of this story but I'm trying cause I am curious to see where the authors are going with it. They put in a lot of little details to make the story more accessible and it just makes me wince or think about other details that would have been better.

What keeps me going? The shifters! There's a Gargoyle, Unicorn, Kitsune, Kraken and Puca. I do want to see how that turns out. What they are like and how they all mix together. This book left me feeling like the authors cut the story to keep readers panting rather than it was a good place to stop. That's annoying. Already started on book two but not sure if I will keep up with the series because it's not turning out to be as unique as it could.

Really excited about this series. I love the idea of shifters falling into one of two camps- the normal shifters, which are people who shift into animals that exist in the real world and mythological shifters- people who shift into mythological creatures, which are much more rare. Our main group has a Puca, a Kraken, a Ceraptar, a gargoyle, a Kitsune and a Pheonix. It is by far the most interesting mix of creatures I have encountered in a shifter series. Can't wait to see where it goes!
