What an Ending

First, I will say I liked book 1 more. That said. This is still a phenomenal continuation of the story. It’s fast-paced, exciting, full of adventure and romance, and the ending will leave you screaming for more. You’ll meet new characters and get to know characters from the first book on a new level. More of the story will come together. I hope to see a reappearance of some of the more minor characters from this book.

Adventure and action

Fast, paced with plenty of action and a look into the different parts of Stone's world. We learn a bit more about Demi's powers and her connection to the Paladins as she battles her way back to Wolf City. We also learn a bit more about the different people's that inhabit her world.
I wasn't super fussed on Demi's sudden rush to be engaged to Sawyer and disliked that she pushed the Paladins off in favour of staying safe in the city. Still character development, I suppose.
I am excited to pick up the next book to see how she fares adapting to the Paladins and how she gets out of her latest bind.
A good read with plenty of action and development of the main character that doesn't jump too fast or drag too slow. #girlpower

The moment I picked this up, I couldn't put it down!!! I'm in awe with how the story unfolded. It was a breath of fresh air because it was a lot different with other werewolves stories that I have read. The concept and the other supernatural creatures made it more interesting to read! We love a wolf protecting it's human. I'm such a sucker for that. Unlike other wolves who put their humans in danger.

OMG! You can't end a book like that!!! I am so excited to read the next book. I will surely reread this from time to time.

I would've liked it much more if it was longer. 30 chapter maybe? I wanted more of them. Demi, Sawyer and the Squad. Ahhh! I'm so in love!! Book 2, please come faster!!

I actually liked this book more than the first. I don’t know if it was due to the fact that her love interest was not there for the majority of it or if it was due to the Paladin plot line (which is frankly the only engaging plot-line in the story).

However, this does not deter from the fact that 90% of this series is Demi getting kidnapped by every paranormal group in existence and having Sawyer lose his shit. It gets really boring after the 3rd time.

One good thing about this book was the side characters. A couple new people were introduced that I actually liked reading about.

Still a very cringe book.

Sawyer kind of annoyed me in this book, having little faith in the strength of Demi...
On to book #3!

This book was the first book I have read in which Instagram was integrated as the part of a character's life. There were talks about posts, accounts and followers. Not much, but enough to surprise me as usually the consensus is that the main characters lives in the modern world without having to prove it.

I have read other books of Leia Stone`s and I found them agreeably and witty enough that the name of the author has stuck with me. When I saw this book I said that I had nothing to lose, as anyway I am waiting for the January and February books to be released.

This was a pretty neat linear story. The girl that meets the boy and they have some struggles peppered along the way. Nothing overly complicated, easy to go through. However, my objections would be that even if the book was modern enough to introduce Instagram into conversations, some of the ways in which the relationship between those two was described tended to be stuck in time.

To give credit the characters made some meta-commentaries when it came to the form in which the male lead had to chose his mate and she said that it looks like The Bachelor but for werewolves. But meta commentaries and ironic observations do not make everything better. There were things like she being his and he getting annoyed when she jumps on the dance floor while he is at date with another girl. Him being overly protective and bestows countless presents on her and pays for her education and everytime she mentions that she wants something or she id displeased with something he pops out of nowhere and “fixes” it.
