I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading the book, all I knew was that a bunch of travel buddies said it was a good, quick, and witty read. Looking at some other reviews, clearly people got their feelings hurt by the title or can’t understand Kristin’s humor. Or maybe I just enjoyed it because I saw a lot of myself in her, minus sleeping around on almost every vacation. I am/was that 30something year old who was single until almost 40 and decided to spend my time traveling the world even if I didn’t have someone to travel around with. Definitely connected with that aspect and it seems like we’re both ending our “last chapter” in similar ways too. I’d recommend this to anyone looking to an entertaining read, just know you aren’t going to get much Eat, Pray,Love out of it... but it’s enjoyable. The bits and pieces of travel info and experiences is also spot on and made me laugh out loud a few times.

This book was hilarious, reminded me of Chelsea Handler's "Horizontal Life" but involving more traveling. I love that she is an independent female not afraid of traveling by herself. It also speaks to me that she is at the age where all of her friends are marrying off and having babies, but where does that leave her?

Oh man, I love this book! Such a great read for young women entering into their adult life in search of what it means to be an adult, have a career and find the person they are supposed to be with. Uplifting and entertaining. I'm fairly sure that Kristin Newman is my spirit animal.

Go do the thing you do in the place you do it in.

I really enjoyed this book and her journey traveling. And yes I do want to travel

Rounded up a little.
This was a fun one! I feel like if you like Chelsea Handler but a little less crass, you'd like this. Her love of travel, the feeling of losing friends who settle down, travel buddies and trying to hang in your thirties.
Newman narrated her own book and it really works to get across her ridiculous, first-world-problem, trust-me-I-know-how-petty-I-am-ness.

The author has a post on her goodread's page that if you were hoping for "Eat Pray Love" you aren't going to get that. I wish I had seen that before I read the book because I was 100% hoping for that. As a single girl who is not breeding, I was so excited about a book of my people. The stories were outrageous.

The last few chapters about her meeting her person and settling down eventually were so good. i'm glad I continued reading just for those.

Entertaining, funny, and self-deprecating. I enjoyed reading this book and all of her travel adventures. Definitely a quick, easy read that is perfect for a vacation.
