THAT ENDING! go miss girl

This was so fun and I liked the twists! Not totally unpredictable but I liked the MC development throughout the story.

Started off very promising but I felt as if It dragged and It wasn’t as climatic as I thought It would be. Pretty predictable.

Exciting, twisty psychological thriller

This story is told from the perspective of many different characters, including: Kit, a maid with a snooping problem; Mal, a homicide police officer; Daisy, an affluent pregnant woman; and Jon, her former Olympian husband. Mal is called to a grisly scene at the home of Daisy’s friend; there is blood everywhere but no body. The homeowners are gone, the maid is missing, and the only witness is an elderly neighbor who heard a woman screaming. As the novel progresses, we realize how the character’s are connected and that many things are not what they seem. I did figure out the major twists before they were revealed, but I loved this book! I couldn’t put it down.

I wish we could give half stars...because more like a 4.5.

What a psychological trip this was...I stayed up past midnight to finish it (grateful I have off today!) because thinking about the ending would have kept me up anyway!

I was hooked from the start, trying to figure out where the story was going. There were enough breadcrumbs to make educated guesses and as the story unfolded I was figuring it out but still, the ending got me!

Some of the negative reviews mention a pattern with this author that they felt made it a predictable read, but this was my first book by her so it was a non issue for me.

I loved the multi-narration, but it may have been justa bit too much (and this is my loss of half a star) as I did have to go back a few times to prior pages and make sure I was keeping the story straight. It required me to pay very close attention and at times I was a little lost, especially as the plot unraveled.

This was my favorite thriller in a while.
