Oh man...this one was scary! with everyone's help, Elle battles the evil villain, Stavros while also fighting to win Jackson. Think of a paranormal James Bond...

Definitely not my favourite. I felt like certain scenes were more graphic than they needed to be and that while the author may want us to be shocked, it felt more like it was forcing a point of how horrible the situation was. The ending felt.. weaker than any of the other books and the story itself felt more formulaic. That being said I feel like I judge these books harshly since it's one of my favourite series and has been for quite some time (which is why it took me so long to read the last book... I have issues with stuff ending) so even though I have all these criticisms I still read it considerably fast and I did really enjoy it!

This was definitely a great way to end the series. It wrapped up the theme with all the sisters getting married together, except Hannah (who's already married). Elle coming back from her trauma with the help of jackson and her sisters was heart wrenching at times, and other times it was great when she would fight back against the man who wrecked her. All in all, an amazing book. Hate to see it end, but they are still there any time I want to read their stories again.

Lots of action, but also lots of repetition, lots of sex, lots of dragging.

Another book by Christine Feehan about the rape and torture and then rescue and insta-love of a poor helpless woman (who is supposed to be strong and independent but isn't) by the aggressive strong relationships are all about sex man (but hey he has a whole depth of feelings, not). Tell me really who is tortured and sexually abused then is rescued only to have hot passionate loving sex with another man a day or two later like the previous days were just a nightmare and not reality? Also hey everyone is psychic in some way but that doesn't really matter since it doesn't help and it's what got you into this nightmare mess is the first place? (the bad guy wants to "breed" with the heroine for her powers) And there is a who series devoted to this? Seriously who in their right mind finds this erotic and sexy?

This book is so much darker and dangerous then the others. A lot of horrible things happen to Elle that if I'm honest did skip so of the darker moments but in previous book you could feel this was going to happen.
Jackson struggled to understand his place with his destiny in the Drake family and instead of jumping at it he backed off leaving Elle not understanding and upset. I love that both these broken hearts and bodies heal each other and make a life together. Absolutely loved wading and the bad guy finally getting his comeuppance.

Excellent series about sisters, with love and magic and power. Loved it.

What an amazing wrap up of the Drake sisters. This was a really hard to get through the first part of the book. While it was amazing to watch Elle pull through everything she goes through, it seemed a little too tidy, and fast paced healing.

I loved how the involvement of the better halves in this book. I love when Feehan involves all the characters.

Overall, this is a great series . . . and I'm glad there will be more books to come! Bring on Water Bound :)

I read through some of the reviews for this book beforehand to get an idea of what to expect. I didn't see this book as being dark. Maybe that's because I tend to read way darker books than this so this was tame/mild. I didn't mind what Elle went through because that was part of the storyline with her and Jackson. I mean he went through trauma overseas and she helped him through that. Same premice for her, so no it didn't bother me.

What bothered me with this book was what has bugged me about most of this author's books...the insane, constant repeating of inner dialogue. It's too much. It's like 50 pages of the same...I'm not worthy, I don't deserve someone like you...BLAH, BLAH, BLAH! Elle constantly saying she can't let her sisters heal her was overused. We went through this same crap in all the other books and it gets old.

I'm glad this was the last book. I really couldn't stand Elle for most of this. Jackson, I actually like. He was more friendly and personable than he was made to look in prior books. I'm not sure I cared for this ending. Felt very rushed.
