This book has such transformative truths & tools in it. Often it was like a kick to the pants, but in the most loving way possible, because it was in a way that encouraged I could change what was wrong. I took pages of notes & am implementing what I learned, already seeing less anxiety & more confidence. Highly recommend.

Depending on your religious affiliation, sometimes there will be truths where the author does not mention God by name, but it's easy to find him in the concepts and see that they are still completely sound.

Minor note: the last two chapters are pretty out there and I definitely only skimmed them, because they were the author's personal theories instead of the powerful truths & tools that permeate the rest of the book.

This was really good for the first 1/3 to 1/2 but then it became very bumbling and full of filler. I wish she had just left the book short and sweet. I almost didn’t finish but I pushed through only to be disappointed.

Lots of practical, helpful stuff in here. I deeply appreciate the focus on giving back via community service, being a good friend, etc. A lot of the positive affirmations stuff I did years ago when my inner self-talk was overwhelmingly negative. Her overall attitude is presenting information from her own experience, rather than that she discovered "the secret." Some of it aligns closely with how I like to think and approach life. And I definitely agree that doing things anyway despite fear is the only way to move forward! (It does become more woowoo as it goes, so if you hate that you might not like the last quarter of the book.)

Not the sort of book I usually go for but a manager I have a great deal of admiration for gave it to me as a present. The premise is interesting and definitely universal to human experience but the writing is a bit all over the place, could easily be 30 pages with some careful editing. Last chapter was a rough read.

Minus the last chapters on “Higher Self” and some spirituality, I found that a lot of the tips in here were really great. I took a lot of notes and though not everything was applicable, it offered some good insights and various types of perspective. There was some plugging for the author’s other work, but I just ignored that.
