I really liked this!  It was a very fun contemporary romance, with interesting characters and a compelling plot.  I will definitely check out more books by R. S. Grey in the future.

Honestly I'm a little sad. I genuinely thought I was gonna adore Hotshot Doc, I really wanted to but it just didn't deliver.
The beginning was pretty good, I was enjoying the back and forth between Bailey and Matt, I was also a big fan of their chemistry and the tention but once they became a real item I just lost interest and I didn't care enough about them.

Bailey was an okay protagonist, she was kinda funny but I didn't really like her that much. I thought that her behaviour towards the end was a little stupid. She wanted to be with Matt for a long time but then she was avoiding him and acting childish.

Matt was cute but I didn't feel as connected to him as I did to the other male characters from Rachel's other books. But I do have to say that my favorite part about his character and basicaly the whole book was the hospital stuff. All those surgeries were so interesting and I was really into the story whenever they were doing one.

Bailey's sister Josie was a nice side character but that girl couldn't take a hint. I know she's supposed to be 14 but girl... At that age you shouldn't be so clueless.

That whole Costa Rica plot line was just unnecessary in my opinion, yeah it turned out good but I really didn't like it.

Overall this was my least favorite R.S. Grey novel but it was still good. I'm just gonna jump right onto the next one and I hope I'll love it.

Is it just me, or do her books only get better and better?

I loved Matt and Bailey's story. The fact that I finished this only in a few hours in the middle of exam season, not to mention the fact that I have been in a reading slump for a while now, should speak for itself.
She is hands down one of my favorite authors, and all her books become a favorite by default. However, this just topped them all, I think. It was different, enjoyable, and had me swooning and laughing all at the same time!!

I knew when Bailey gave Dr. Russell a piece of her mind and then stole a tray of shrimp before storming out, we were in for a fun ride! And it didn’t stop there. Bailey never hesitated to stand toe to toe with Matt, keeping him in his place. The only person in the hospital to have the balls to do it. Which not only caught Matt’s attention, but he respected her immensely for it. He knew things needed to change when he told her they didn’t need to be friends, just have a mutual respect and understanding to work side by side, and it lost him his banana bread privileges. And change they did! Matt has always put his responsibility at the hospital above everything else. Until things shifted, and Bailey was getting his attention in ways he wasn’t ready for, but happy to oblige. Things quickly shift from coworkers to being inseparable overnight, literally. But then there’s a little bump in the road, but only until they properly communicate and everything works out. And my heart nearly burst. And that epilogue?! I will always want and need more Bailey and Matt!

My Favorite Quotes:
• ‘Dr. Russell wants me, and there’s a pretty good chance he’s going to get me.’
• ‘I wish she had to wear my name embroidered on her scrubs in size 48 font.’
• “If I can’t meet your eyes the rest of the day, don’t take it personally.”
• “There will be other grants and other opportunities like this. There is only one of you.”
• “Let’s play doctor and patient.”

7/10 Dirty Birdy
7/10 Single Parent (guardian)
8/10 Workplace Romance

This was a pretty solid romance for me. Nothing of note to write as a stand-out, per say, although I did love the writing style. This was my first RS Grey and it most definitely won't be my last. I enjoyed the flow and pacing of this novel, and the epilogue was really damn lovely. A solid four stars from me!

Another great romantic comedy

You can't really go wrong with RS Grey. She writes sexy, funny, and smart contemporaries that always hit the spot.
