This book was a page, once I started it was hard to put down.   Hadley was told she was infertile and would never have a baby ( could so relate to this) so her fiancé told her one he was okay with it and the. He turned around and ended it.   She decided to head home to her Dad and Muddy.   Side note Muddy is so awesome I wish my grandmother was like her.  She made me laugh a couple of times out loud.   Declan a hot, I can ride anything cowboy (motorcycles/horses) is there in the cabin when she gets there and literally lands on top of him.    But Dad has a strict rule…..No Touching my daughter.      Wonderful book.   Love the Seven Brides for Seven brothers input - one of my favorite movies.

I’m a huge fan of Emma’s books and after reading the entire Tarnished Angels and Kings of Sin series, I thought I knew her dark, sexy, tension and suspense filled worlds. Wrong. Huckleberry Hill was bright, happy, spicy, and extremely swoon worthy. Hadley and Declan’s story was so fun. Declan has everything we love in a rancher/cowboy. He’s also my new favorite thing: an undercover over the top possessive man. He knew what he wanted and he wasn’t actually afraid to go after it but let Hadley find her way through everything she was dealing with. Hadley made me laugh a lot and I felt like I understood a lot of her. It has a delightful small town backdrop, a freaking baby goat, and a hilarious Grandma with an iconic nickname. The emotional development of the love between Declan and Hadley made the story better. Even with his possessive and take no nonsense attitude. I ate this up and I cannot wait for this whole series to continue.

I believe the best word to describe this book is cozy. Because this story was a real cozy romance, with a feel good vibe and adorable characters and funny moments.
I really like the small town trope, and as I'm beggining to realize, I love ranch and cowboy romance as well.. who knew? 🤭
I liked Emma's previous books and her stories and her writing style is just my thing, so when I had the chance to read this one I was stoked. And I wasn't disaponted. She writes stories with heart, character and strenght, and we get lost in them. I will always recommend her books.

In this story we have Hadley, a young woman who returns home to her family small town ranch after her relationship ended. She and her ex found out she was infertile and things just didn't worked out. So a few days in her favorite place were just what she needed.
Declan was a ranch hand at her family's ranch, and he was the perfect golden retriever male character. Lovable, sweet, funny and a tiny bit jealous and possessive when needed. A perfect mix. He fell for Hadley as soon as he met her and as determined as he was he didn't let her go.

They had a love/lust at first sight, and after that moment their banter and every interaction led us to a really good relationship with her being more cautious and him being all in. But as soon as some fears were put aside, their love was beautiful to read.
They had some obstacles, for sure, mainly the ones Hadley's mind created, but Declan was good cleaning thos cobwebs.

The side characters such as Hadley's sister and best friends were perfect additions but the best of the best was Muddy. I loved Muddy. She was smart, funny and devilishly diabolical! 😅 She was probably the cherry on top of this book and it truly wouldn't be the same without her sass and her grandma knowledge.
I can't wait to see more of her in Salem's story.

I liked it but didn't love it.

Short and sweet, low angst & drama small town cowboy romance.

Like Emma's MC series it's single POV (FMC)

The author describes this as a blend of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Hart of Dixie and so I HAD to read it. I love the MMC Declan, the motorcycle riding, ex rodeo cowboy who's the new wrangler on the ranch. I think my favorite part is the way they met and the cute nickname he has for her, Bear Snack. The characters are well-written and the plot is solid. Also, there's my weakness, a baby goat. I can't wait for the next book.
