Reading this series is like eating a candy bar. You have one bite, and think, I’ll just have one more, and the next thing you know, you’ve inhaled the entire MAN-sized candy bar.

This series is completely ridiculous, ott man love! I mean, it’s an all gay narcotics task force, how delicious. If you can make it past the first one (which does have some sharing) the rest of the series features only single couples, completely devoted to one another. The sex is crazy hot and feels authentic.

This one has:
Cowboys
Age gap
Slow burn
A working ranch
Jokes and cock blocking
Vulnerability and the sweetest gentle giant
Two men who haven’t been with anyone else in years
A gorgeous but emotionally scarred horse - the symbolism wasn’t lost on me

And how much do I love Bull's dad for this comment after Bull and Fox have an argument...

“Son, the good lord gave you the blessing of being attracted to men. And that means not having to discuss your darn feelings every time you get upset.”

Each book in this series is fine as a standalone, but it’s recommended to read as a series since there are many characters that make reappearances throughout. It’s also recommend to listen to the audiobook version over reading these. Aiden Snow's voice is liquid sex.

This might be a slow burn, but it's really smokin once it gets going.

Fox ate at Bull’s ass and cock as if he was his breakfast, all tongue and saliva and slickness as he swallowed Bull’s fat head down his throat.

I may have had to pause and re-listen to that section a few times to get that quote right for you guys. The sacrifices I make are real!

There are some inconsistencies (why is God such a jerk!?), but they only slightly bothered me. I was here for Fox and Bull and their sweetest of sweet love connections.

Go read Cassandra's review on this one! I’m completely blaming her for getting me into this series!

I absolutely loved this story! It was a great read and I truly enjoyed this characters. I was so happy to get to go back to Bull's ranch and it was really interesting to have the story set primarily there. I loved the new characters we were introduced to and am super excited for where this series is headed in future books. I hope that maybe we might see a spin off series or maybe some more books from characters at the ranch. This story pulled me in from beginning to end. It had plenty to hold my attention as Fox tried to figure out who was vandalizing the ranch and why. The pull between Fox and Bull was great too. Fox has the patience to wait Bull out while also inching him along to doing something about their connection. This story was really fun and interesting and I really enjoyed it. I love the little tidbit we get that gives us a little spark for the next book and couple that's coming. I can't wait! I'm excited to head back to God and Day's task force again as well.
The narrator did a phenomenal job with this story and really bringing all the characters and story to life.

Lowest rating for an AE Via book ever. I think I am done with this series. It has just gotten too over the top with stretching the law enforcement reality. Not to mention the language is cheesy and often times fairly sexist. At one point he asks a bunch of nurses 'Would one of you pretty doll faces over there grab those images for me?' and I just about gave myself a seizure my eyes rolled so hard. Bleh.

I absolutely loved this book. It has been a while since I read the last book and I have missed these guys. I hated that Fox was questioning himself but it gave him the chance to get away and find the love and happiness he sees with his friends all the time. Bull loves his ranch but doesn't have anyone to share it with and Fox is a temptation he can't ignore.

I could not put down this book and just devoured this story. Bull gave Fox a safe place to land and a home while Fox gave Bull security and something to smile about. I loved watching Fox and Dale's constant sniping at each other. I was glad that Fox didn't have to completely give up his friends from the Atlanta PD but was able to bring both sides of this life together.

I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review

I have loved each of the books in this series- until now. I just did not connect with Fox and Bull. Instalove but lacking chemistry. Story was pretty predictable. The part where God and his gang show up was just ridiculous. Felt like the Keystone Cops. I’m wondering if it’s time to draw series to an end. It was a big disappointment considering all the hype.

I have been fortunate enough to receive review copies of each title in AE Via's Nothing Special Series. Each one has been fantastic and has a review posted. The premise of book 8 is built around Fox, Ivan Hart's 2nd in command, and all-around badass. Fox, whose real name is Mandel Tucker, is burnt out. He works too much to cover his own feelings of living someone else's life. When he is suddenly suspended for only doing his job, he is fed up.

When trouble arises again at the Walker Ranch, Fox volunteers to go help Mr. Walker and his son, Big Bull. Bull has trust issues. He is not happy about Fox being underfoot 24/7. As Bull and Fox circle each other while trying to solve who is sabotaging the ranch, they fail to see the storm until it arrives. When God's voice is heard, Fox has to decide whether to heed his duty or his hope for a new life.

The audiobook was fantastic. Aiden Snow narrates the book. He gives Fox's voice all the command and slyness that his character is known for. He also gives him an unexpected sense of vulnerability. Bull's voice while reflecting his physic also shows his gentleness by being a softer voice. I did not have to change volume settings at all so softer may be the wrong adjective for Bull's voice. The side characters are all well narrated. When the situation becomes dangerous, then as in all Nothing Special titles, the voice of God is heard.
