My Review:

My gosh, I'm at a loss for words. I swear JLA will be the death of me.

I didn't realize just how much I have missed Daemon and Katy and this series as much as I did until I picked this book up. And being back in that world was absolutely worthwhile. But also being inside Daemon's head this time, alien babies everywhere, that was one hell of a fun ride!

Cocky and unbelievable arrogant, you can't help but love Daemon Black, even when he is being a giant douche. However, with Oblivion we get a major glimpse of his thoughts, his growth as a character, and his growing and conflicting emotions he experienced in the first book, and that was an eye-opener. How he viewed Katy from the first moment to when she really gets pushed into his life, that’s just wow. And he really stole my breath; he can be such a sweet guy. Daemon really is a complex, unique character and that becomes even more apparent with Oblivion.

I also loved that Oblivion isn't just a simple retelling of Obsidian either. No, it's like reading the first book for the first time. Jennifer gave us scenes that never even appeared in Obsidian that allowed me to see who Daemon was during that time, his emotions, the conflict going on within him, why he was so back and forth with Katy. It made me love him even more and understand him.

Now, I read the paperback copy first, and as soon as I was done, I got the kindle version. Which I highly recommend for lovers of this series to do. In the e-book version, JLA gives us a quick and more straightforward telling of Onyx and Opal. Though not as in-depth as Oblivion, it was still amazing to get glimpses of Daemon’s POV in those books. Which, as stated before, was a real eye-opener. Making me fall for him even more and really see and understand his character, thoughts, and feelings.

I LOVED this book. Truly. I felt that Jennifer did a great job at re-telling of Obsidian in Daemon’s POV. Lovers of this series and of Daemon Black, pick this one up!

Reliving the first book in Daemon's view was amazing. How he fought his feelings and thought he would make mistakes like his brother. Seeing how much he cared for her even when he first saw her. I like that Jennifer L. Armentrout wrote this book. I like knowing what Daemon was thinking and even though he was a jerk sometimes he wanted her the whole time but kept denying it even to himself. But Dee knew even when Daemon didn't.

I am torn when it comes to a repeat of a book but with different perspective.  I didn't love Daemon in the first book in Kat's POV but having finished the rest of the series, I now love Daemon (as well as probably everyone).  SOO that being said, having his whole, grumpy neighbour, I hate the human girl vibes going on, was not my favourite.  BUT I could brush it off because we know where this is all going.

Why do I keep doing this?

This part took me ages to read. I cant stop reading the same books from the other POV even when I know I will hate the repeat. I always somewhat do, but still haven't managed to stop myself. Since I got bored reading this through again I did find some massive loopholes here. For One they could use the Opal as a bracelet and when joining hands it would power up both of them. How smart would that be right? And the second One which i don't know if i pointed out before or not is the airborn onyx. Like previously it stayed on their clothes after going through the Doors and once they had tolerance built up it suddenly was not catching on to clothes or skin anymore? Like what the actual f? BY the logic here they did not have 15 minutes when passing through the Doors but 50 second window that tolerance Made possible. All that beside Beth went through the Doors and didn't feel the onyx, I know she had some tolerance also, but not even a wince? Alrighty... And One last thing wouldn't it be faster to get some special suits for radiation or skuba suits to go through all the sprays in much faster Time frame than building tolerance that might not work? Just saying...
Otherwise the language and fluency is good as always.
