Was originally going to give it a 1 star rating, but then the whole part of the police getting involved thinking she may have poisoned her husband made the story line a tad more interesting. But then, in keeping a constant theme throughout theme throughout the book, Caroline freaks out over something that actually wasn’t a big deal? I don’t know, I kept wanting more from this book, but as a woman in my 30s, the whole my-husband-cheated-and-I’m-desperate-for-a-baby-I-have-hit-rock-bottom thing is so boring. I was hoping for Caroline’s character to grow much earlier than the last freaking chapter, but ah well.

4⭐️ a quick easy read, exactly what I needed. This book is what Weyward should have been written like.

I would have been more satisfied with the book if it had stayed solely in the past and not muddled the storyline with the present day aspect.
