Było jak bardzo miły fanfik. Czytało mi się przyjemnie i dobrze się przy tym bawiłam. W mojej opinii sam fantastyczny świat jest dobrze opisany i czasami miałam wrażenie jakby bohaterzy musieli wykonać questa w grze. Było w tej książce wiele fanfikowych trope'uw ale miało to swój urok. Świetna querrowa reprezentacja!
- This was honestly one of the best romantic comedies I have read in a while. I loved this book!! It was the change of pace I needed and I really enjoyed it.
- I loved how the storyline started unusually with the defeat of the Vile One (a big turning point) and with the start of the reign of King Arek although it all happened very clumsily.
- I honestly did not know I needed a fantasy romcom this bad and I already love everything with magic in it so this was definitely an EASY and FUN READ.
- And the love dynamics in this book were full of twists and I loved all of the representation!! And although it was a slow-burn romance for the main couple I enjoyed it and never once felt that it was being pulled too much. It was honestly such good-paced that I didn't even realize how fast the book was done. I wanted MORE!!!
- The entire time I was grinning at their aloofness and realness cuz this entire empire was really being run by a couple of teenagers. I loved how this group of friends, although joined by a prophecy, became a family in the end.
- Talking about the characters a bit... Matt, Arek's best friend/ mage, I loved from the beginning. His and Arek's bickering moments are my fav and their chemistry just flows soo easily that EVERYONE else around them can see it BUT THEM. Then comes Bethany, the group's bard, Sionna, a fearless fighter, Rion a knight with a heart of gold, and Lila whose mysterious past makes for some entertaining mystery moments.
This is a Dungeons and Dragons story where someone rolled 20 on the random events generator.
I did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. The story is predictable, the characters are so immature and the writing style is wacky but it was the cocktail I needed! Funny, silly and light-hearted queer fantasy!

UFF THE SLOW BURN BURNED SO GOOD WITH THIS ONE!!!! Let me tell you, the only reason i didn’t devour this book in a day was because im busy with college. BUT OMG WHAT A FUCKING BOOK!!!!! The love Arek had for Matt was so pure and i was living for all their gay pinning!!!! It hurt so good, all those “i love him but he doesn’t love me but really he does i just don’t know it yet” And you would think that the plot would get boring because Arek was wooing all this other people BUT NO! Because it was don’t so freaking well that it kept you interested and it was funny as fuck! I love Arek so much as a character you have no idea. These book had one of the most don’t tropes ever (king that has to marry) and gave it such an unic twist and personality. I’ve been reading lots of easy going, low quality reads lately so this was refreshing as fuck. Im not really into YA anymore but this was top tier good. It needed more romance time but they made up for it in the last chapters.
