I'm not entirely sure I actually have the words to express how much I have loved both of Bill Nye's books. His writing is not only entertaining, it is incredibly informative and enlightening. This book covers a very relevant topic in today's society that can, at times, be quite depressing. Nye was able to tackle this difficult subject in such a way that was inspiring and included proposed solutions. I would definitely recommend this book to everyone, young or old, involved or skeptical.

I really really wanted to like this book a lot. But I didn't like it as much as I thought I would, so I had to go with 3, though I'd do 3.5 if I could. It took till about 200 pages in for me to consistently want to read more. At the beginning of the book I felt like I was simultaneously being talked down to, and then briefly overwhelmed by a super technical paragraph. I was also disappointed that he'd scratch the surface of an idea and not go more in depth with it. I'm not sure if I got used to his writing style, or if I found the later subject matter more interesting, but the last 10 or 15 chapters I was excited to read and breezed through them.

If you're not optimistic, you will not accomplish much.
A bit outdated as this was written in 2015, but this is an excellent introductory breakdown of the science of the climate crisis and possible technological, political, economic, and sociological solutions. At the same time as he explains the dire situation we are in, Bill Nye writes with the hope that we will make a difference and pivot to make positive changes. Grounded in realism but remaining optimistic, I think the writing style is very digestible and not too technical. I still found myself skipping over a lot of the science because that is simply something I have trouble absorbing, but despite that I finished the book with a better understanding than I did when I started and that's what counts.
If you're interested in a journey to learn more about the topic I think this is a solid place to start.

I loved this book. It's full of practical ideas for saving the world, including what we can do on a local level. Bill Nye is earnestly trying to make the world a better place.

"Earth is not just our home, it is also our house." Unstoppable guides the reader through the current research and technology being tested to reduce climate change. It is pretty heavy in science, but the material is presented in a way that the layperson can understand. Climate change is affecting our home, and we need to rise up and create a better future for our home and our house.
