Mote and more, I realize that Calvin is not an exaggeration, and his parents are zombies for a reason.

Yet another among the books published by Bill Watterson from the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip that I have enjoyed. My children have literally worn out these collections of C&H comics, and with good reason. C&H is a unique blend of homespun philosophy, side-splitting humor, and insight into the human (child and adult) condition. Watterson's insights into, and sly digs at, various social, familial, and other institutions of modern life are masterful.

Calvin and Hobbes off on another whirlwind adventure! After deciding he can't love with his family's rules any longer, Calvin decides to secede from his home with Hobbes in tow; their destination? Yukon Ho!

The third collection of the wonderful Calvin and Hobbes comic strip. Full of hilarious, thoughtful, insightful, cynical, non-plussed and surreal moments as Calvin explores the reality of death, life, and the average existence of a 6 year old boy in 1980's America. Reactions can range from laugh-out-loud to subtle nods of agreement at this brilliant reflection of life. Both a time-capsule from that time and still relevant, if you only read one comic strip, read this.
Features the eponymous tale of Calvin seceding from his family for the Yukon, and related song.
