A typical Mary Higgins Clark book. Kinda cheesy, but its such a fast read and I just can't resist them. Its like reading People magazine. Its not going to make me smarter, but its a guilty pleasure that I enjoy. I liken it to watching sitcoms. If you're a Mary Higgins Clark fan, I think you'll like the book.

Mary Higgins Clark is my quick read go to...when I don't want a true romance. Her stories are fast paced, quick to read, engaging, and fun. This one was no different! I couldn't put it down...I wanted to read and find out who was behind the whole story to make Zan look guilty of kidnapping her own child. As usual, some of the secondary characters were a little bland, pretty cookie cutter, but they don't distract from the story. While the end result was not a total surprise, it was not the most obvious answer from page one, so that is nice. All in all a nice quick, fun, light read for the weekend!

It took me a couple chapters to keep the players all straight but it was typical Mary Higgins Clark where you are on your toes and ready to narrow in and then find out you may not be right and second guess yourself!

I used to read a lot of Mary Higgins Clark when I was a kid, and I still remember her style very well - this one is nothing new, but it was a fun read. Identity theft, ooh. (Billing the book as identity theft destroys some apparent attempts at suspense about if the main character is split personality, because you know she's not - the book is about identity theft!) Weird things: the over-the-top physical descriptions, the random pointless identifications of "African-American" characters, the attention paid to clothes, the completely unbelievable plot.

Vuelvo a darle ⭐️⭐️⭐️ y media.

I didn't like this book that well. It was a book that I could have just stopped reading it half way through. It was repetitive and I can't place my finger on it, but it was missing something. I have read better books by Mary Higgins Clark and I have been reading her books since she started. Not sure what was up with this one, but I wouldn't recommend it. I would recommend one of her older ones to a new reader of Mary Higgins Clark.

Why people are giving this book such bad reviews is beyond me. This book is absolutely brilliant and keeps you on the edge of your seat from the mysterious beginning to the plot twisting end.
Alexander "Zan" Moreland's son, Matthew, went missing a year (I think, I can't remember) ago. Then, on what would be his fifth birthday, some pictures come out showing that Zan might be responsible for his kidnapping! Throughout the book, you keep asking yourself who kidnapped him and I sometimes wondered if I had been the one that kidnapped him! A definite must read.

I always like Mary Higgins Clark books. However, I feel like she might be getting a little soft in her older age. This was definitely entertaining and went very quickly but it didn't really seem realistic. I feel like her older books were more intense, realistic and surprising. I correctly guessed the end of this book about half way through. Still, I liked it.
