I gave this to Sandy for Valentine's day. We started reading it together, then I finished it on my own. She continued reading on her own and I'd sit down and read a chapter wherever she was at with her on nights we could fit it in. Lovely story - worked really well for Sandy's age, maturity, reading level

This was totally adorable. Magic, dragons, powerful girls? I'm in.

extremely sweet read. the story is nice, i really liked the prose (though i read the french translation so…), and all the characters are very interesting. a genuine story of grief, of family, of hope. of growing up and moving forward. of love. everything was about love

This was a very sweet middle grade novel! Lovely characters, interesting story that follows the perspectives of several different characters and great themes of familial love, grieving (or the impact of sorrow), and growing up. Quite magical!

I listened to the audiobook for this novel and the narrator, Christina Moore, does an excellent job of including various voices for the different characters and reads with wonderful expression!

I don't use this phrase lightly, but this is a very [a:Neil Gaiman|1221698|Neil Gaiman|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1234150163p2/1221698.jpg]esque book. Filled with magic and love and tragedy and heart and whimsy and tension, this book was a delight to read.

The world building is top notch.
The plot was fun.

I feel this was one of the most adorable book I have read ever. Its a book for all ages it was just so great for me. I would read this over and over especially to the grand babies ❤

Excellent narrator.

I absolutely adored this book. It’s the kind of story that feels like a classic fairy tale while also being something entirely its own. The writing is beautifully lyrical, the world is rich with magic, and the characters—especially Luna, Xan, Glerk, and Fyrian—are so wonderfully developed.

I loved how the story weaves together themes of love, sacrifice, and the power of stories themselves. There’s this deep undercurrent of emotion that sneaks up on you, and by the end, I found myself unexpectedly moved. Also, Fyrian? Pure joy.

If you love whimsical, heartfelt fantasy with layers of depth, this one is absolutely worth the read.

lovely & wonderful :’)

Best book I have read in a long time! Beautiful, lyrical writing and a creative, original story. Loveable characters! I just loved everything about it.
