Like many others, I found Kayla through Trick Shot, her throuple hockey Christmas novella. I then proceeded to devour everything she wrote, which always has a HEA, a plus-size heroine, phenomenal spice, and a filthy-mouthed hero. When she selected me to ARC read Silver Foxed, an AGE GAP, DAD'S BEST FRIEND NOVELLA??? SAY LESS RIGHT NOW, PLEASE, MA'AM, I WANT SOME MORE. Silver Foxed is Elijah and Alex's story; Elijah works for and is best friends with Oliver. Who also happens to be Alex' dad. When some crossed wires lead to the two of them sharing a weekend at a lake house, their chemistry leads them to agree to a one-weekend only fling, but neither of them can quite let go of the other. Elijah is the ULTIMATE silver fox and is so perfectly dominating--I just can't get over this MMC--while Alex is the perfect foil for him with her zest for life. Also, and let me just scream this from the rooftops: THAT JACUZZI SCENE. THE BEACH. THE FREAKING SHOWER. 🥵🥵🥵 Like many novellas, I had exactly one complaint: it was too freaking short.

I will pretty much read anything Kayla Grosse writes at this point - she really is the queen of spicy novellas! Also the age-gap trope was executed perfectly. I only wish the book was longer because I didn't want to leave these characters behind!

Kayla, if you're reading this - I'll take more, please. Ok thanks :)

This novella is hot and spicy af. It’s short but delivers an engaging story. I really liked Alex and Elijah, I found myself rooting for them to get together from the jump. I feel like this would’ve benefitted from being a little longer. I wanted the secrecy and tension to continue longer and needed a more drawn out resolution with Alex’s father. Aside from that I really enjoyed this novella!

Kayla Grosse is an up and coming author of plus size romance and erotica whose work I deply respect and admire. So far I like her Christmas/Hockey player series the best. But this novella was spicy and quick and was able to scratch an itch of plus size erotica that I love. My only complaint is that I feel like it  could have done more with them playing house and exploring different kinks.
