So dorky, but so good! The hints of adult humor had me laughing out loud.

What a fantastic read. A Flintstones reboot which is clever, unexpectedly dark and beautifully satirical. A must read. 4.5

One of the most hilarious takes on issues of today. Can't wait to pick up the 2nd volume.

It’s not that it’s not well written and an interesting take on Flintstones origins. It’s not even that it’s not a great idea to tackle modern issues through those of the Stone Age. It’s that I’m sad now because it’s too real.

Things I didn’t expect to see addressed when I accidentally picked up this flintstones comic: political nepotism, the military industrial complex, infertility, the problem of evil in religion, ptsd, sex caves, gay rights, the fact that life is “a series of mutually agreed upon delusions designed to keep us from becoming ongoing accumulations of regret,” the line “we participated in a genocide, Barney.”

AND SO MUCH MORE!

This volume of comics defies the star rating system, just like Fred and Wilma defied the social mores of their own day by inventing monogamy.

This is not like the Flinstones we watched as kids. The characters are the same and the setting is more or less the same but it's updated for the modern era. The writing is brilliant with witty socio-political commentary that is relevant in today's day and age. It's like the Flinstones are living in a 21st century (mostly American) version of stone age and that is exactly as fun as it sounds! If social satire is your thing and you like to see your childhood favourites in a fresh new setting, then this is absolutely the series for you.

I thought this was brilliant. It shines the light on real estate development, marriage, religion, war, ptsd.... Basically all aspects of society. I love that it doesn't hold back. It's serious and funny at the same time.

Each issue can be read independently, even though I binged it in one sitting.
