Some short stories, of different kinds. There are a couple of Poirot stories, a Harley Quinn story, a ghost story, and some others. The ghost story was heart breaking. :´(

Reliable Agatha Christie quality. Works for me :-D

I want a harlequin tea set like that... sounds wonderful.

I didn’t care much for this story collection. I usually like Agatha Christie’s random short stories (eg not featuring an established character like Poiroit) but I didn’t like any of these very much. The first half of the book was rather tedious, and after having no interest in the last couple stories I skipped them. The Poiroit turned out to be a remixed version of a story I already read too.

When you can see but can't believe follow your gut. How far would you go for family. Mr Quin is definitely something out of this world.

With the exception of one Hercule case that was in this book, all the other stories by Agatha, Christie were new to me.

I found that the only connection between all the stories had to do with relationships, both romantic and familiar relationships, and some of them had to do with  friend relationships. Not every story dealt with murder but there was an element of death and oftentimes manipulation in each short story.

The last one short story of this book, the Harlequin tea set mystery, was the most challenging to get through. I was kind of confused regarding the main character, and if he was suffering from all timers, and the story he was hearing about this family was actually his own story, and he just didn't remember it. So, when he met up with a family, it felt like the energy between them was strange, however  That ended up not being the case so that one was probably my least favorite story out of the entire book.

wow the first few were so good and then it was just ?? i do NOT like harley quin and do not wish to see him again. the house of dreams was very good and lovecraftian though. i also liked the actress and the edge. the lonely god was... not mystery but a romance and i liked it but it was also weird?

Some of the stories were great! But unfortunately, not everything in this collection was well written. Some stories were pretty bad. Which is surprising given her track record.
