Perus ok..

I couldn't get into this which is so sad. I felt like it went nowhere important for being over 100 pages in. I'm taking a break for now but will try it again soon.

I loved the first two books in this trilogy. The entire set has a lot going for it. The writing is excellent, and the characters are well fleshed out. I kept thinking to myself as I read the series how refreshing it is, in a YA novel of all things, to see a best friendship that is as intimate as Aria and Roar's without it ever becoming something more than that. The evolution of Soren was also a point I admired very much. And maybe the whole "boy and girl from different worlds hate each other then fall in love" model is unoriginal, but the setting sure was. This is why I wasn't super happy with the end of this book. True, everyone made it. We always knew that would happen. We all knew, eventually, the bad guy would fall. But the plot crescendoed and fell flat for me. There were a lot of unanswered questions. And I don't love that. It was disappointing to read, but overall still entertaining and I'm glad I own this series.

Now that's a proper ending for a series. It left me wanting so much more, to know what happens next and how people recover and rebuild. I want to know if certain characters will ever get their happily ever after. I want to know if things will last.

I love that Rossi gave us none of those things and that I can decide for myself.

The ending was very sudden, but I understood it and was happy it wasn't cheapened with a big bow tying things up neatly.

I wanted more of Cinder. For such an important character, his presence was lacking.

Perry. Perry is a dream. And I loved Aria in this book as well. And my love for Roar is eternal, even when he's being... difficult.

Laughed, cried, swooned, cringed, sat in suspense... this book put me through the ringer. All I want now is to go back to the first and read them through again.

Loved this series! One those book series that you are so sad to see end! Would love a post ending outtake to see how things are going now!

Can't believe its over.

Wow.

Love. Joy. Pain. Grief.
Loyalty.
Loyalty throughout.

Reaaally good book.

The end was..abrupt. Journey was amazing.

That horrible horrible moment throughout the book where you hope (against hope) that a character comes back to life. Damn.

*5 stars*

Emotions and tears. Lots of them.

Review soon.

This story wasn't as engaging as the other two books for me. But I did enjoy reading. I loved seeing the amazing development in Aria in comparison to the first book. I don't know, I had such high expectations so this book fell really flat for me. But I really can't wait to read more of Veronica Rossi works because she is indeed a fantastic writer.

I've never, ever read a complete trilogy start to finish without other books in between. From the first book I got hooked and enjoyed staying in this world to see it until the very end. The characters in this story are rich and riveting. I can only imagine how much more I would love Roar and Liv if I read the the novella, or even Brooke, another novella in the series. I don't usually read novellas, mainly because I feel I am already invested enough in the characters and if it was so important the details would be in the main story line. Does that make sense?

Quick recap: Really enjoyed Under the Never Sky minus the info dump in the first 100 pages or so. Through the Ever Night was so good I tweeted the author to let her know I would be using some quotes in my upcoming wedding vows.

Into the Still Blue was a really nice conclusion, but it wasn't my favorite in the series. I felt it lacked balance of action and "downtime" and there were times I was reading along wondering when the plot would get more action packed. For all the crazy things that happen in this final book I felt no urgency in the situation. It was still an amazing read and a mostly satisfying conclusion. I wish there were an epilogue or even just one more book to really finish things off.

4 Stars!

Finally, a dystopian series with a satisfying ending! I really loved everything, and I couldn't able to put the book down! What I didn't like though was how fast Sable's death had been - I was expecting a lot more action in it.

And I really loved how in the final chapter, Veronica Rossi showed Roar and Aria in the end *squeals*
