There was a lot going on in this book, but it was nice for once that she didn't get beat to hell in this one. And it's clear we're setting up for a future Eric/Sookie relationship, but it's getting a little crazy keeping track of all the Supes who want her, although I think the reader has a clearer view of how these men want her gift as much as they are attracted to her, since Sookie is still pretty naive in that regard.

Slipped back into three stars territory. I loved the scenes with the mind-wiped Eric but the witch stuff was way boring. I HATED the ending.

The book was very good. I, along with lots of others I'm sure, really like that Sookie and Eric got together. And it's a little sad that in the end she broke it off. Hopefully Harris can pick it up well in the next one.

I love Eric with no memory. Fun to see a very different side of a character who is supposed to be ruthless. We’ve seen brief glimpses that he is thoughtful and caring in other books but this expands on that to show a side of him that under normal circumstances he does everything he can to deny.

This was pretty good. It had a good mystery aspect and the action was good. Harris is good at describing a scene without describing every gory detail.
Sookie is a character I can really relate to. I feel like she was more fleshed out in this book.

Here ends the binge-ing. Turns out I have time to waste on 4 books, but not five!... and not 13 at any rate!

One of my favorite in the whole series. I like seeing a vulnerable Eric. I also love how Jason seemed to grow up fast at the end. I would have liked to know the Bill story line but it being told from the first person doesn't allow for it. (Hope it is discussed in the show).

This was definitely my favorite book so far in the series. For starters, Eric is a completely different person (vampire, whatever), and I actually enjoyed that. I hate his personality as he normally is, and even though I knew he returns to normal, I was actually disappointed that the spell was lifted, because it made it a lot easier to enjoy his character. Too bad that only lasted one book. I'm also pretty sure I liked this book more because Bill was out of the picture for about 95% of it, so I didn't have to deal with Sookie whining about him not being a part of her life or bragging about how sexy~ he is. One thing I didn't like was how there seemed to be so much going on at one time. Sookie often disregarded her brother completely because she had to go run off to take care of Eric or fight some witches.
