These books are obviously fluff and not literature by any means, but they are actually an amazing chick lit fantasy series. There are never dull moments and Sookie Stackhouse is a completely lovable heroine, even if she's slightly unrealistically invincible.

I was happy to see Bill take a backseat in this book so that Eric could do his thing even if he was a kindler, gentler pussy-cat version of himself. Actually, I didn't like this Eric so much and will be interested to see how things go now that he's back to his charismatic, charming, cunning self. Continuity errors at the beginning gave me the usual irritation as did periodic spelling and grammar stuff but it was entertaining enough and it's good to see the Supe community expanding.

This series just keeps getting better and better! :-) I'm really enjoying the twists and turns of the mysteries and the involvement of the different supernaturals. Such a fun series! :-)

The adventures of Sookie Stackhouse continue, this time with more magical creatures and politics than before. Harris has done a good job with starting with a focal point of Bon Temps, and widinging the magical and geographical scope as she goes throught he series.

Sookie continues her growth as an independent woman, but at the same time creates more tangles in her romantic life. Over all this was a fun and quick read. Unlike other mystery series by this point that maybe a bit repetitive, you still feel like Harris has more to say, and Sookie has more to do and experience. So, like the ones that preceeded it, as soon as I finished this book, I picked up the next one in the series.

Dead to the world is my favorite book of the Sookie series. I've read all of them so far but none has held me like Dead to the World.

Total cop-out ending.
