Delightful

This was a lovely novella that showcased everything I’ve loved about the Chance Sisters series. Exactly what I needed during this stressful time.

I just adored this story of Blake Ashton (Ash) returning to England after 10 years in the Far East.
He meets Charley and her brother in a most unusual fashion and can't leave them. While he takes care of them, we fall in love with them all, and get to know the sad back stories. With the help of Ash's friends (Max and the lovely Chance Sisters) things turn around and they have the best Christmas ever - with forgiveness and love centre stage. And have a Christmas wedding to boot.

It was great revisiting the Chance Sisters world and while this was a novella, the story was lovely and a satisfying read. Definitely belongs on the keeper shelf.

This was a cute read! Definitely very short but I loved Ash’s character. The romance felt rushed and underdeveloped to me. I think their connection needed some more work. But overall, it was a fun sweet story.

Short and sweet, a great advertisement for the advantages of the novella format in romance stories

This is a novella, part of the Chance Sisters series. Blake Ashton is a partner to the men who married the Chance women, but this is his first trip back to England for many years. He's dreading it, still haunted by a tragedy from his youth. When he's held up and accidentally shots a young woman disguised as a highwayman, he stays to help her and her brother, realizing that all is not well. Charlotte Underwood has been surviving on her wits but she's desperate now, forced to depend on Blake's goodwill.
We get to see most of the rest of the characters from the series and how they're doing which is always fun. The story here is fairly predictable, but it's a short read and a nice addition to a great series.

I haven't met an Anne Gracie book I didn't love. I only wish it was longer.

I really liked Ash and his sense of responsibility. I also liked the care he took with Toby. The romance seemed forced in the beginning. I liked Charlotte and Ash, but it wasn't until the second half that I stared to believe they had a future. All in all a good, sweet story.

I absolutely adore Anne Gracie's books, and this one was no exception. The Christmas Bride is such a sweet read that really pulls you in from the start and the Chance family reunion only completed the package. A perfect read to kick off the Christmas spirit.
