This was done so well. I read this twice, for a picture is a thousand words I knew I missed things the first time going through this graphic novel. I appreciated how this story was told, with the written word taking a backseat and allowing the art tell the tale. The graphic novel has about 25 written words, but it speaks volumes. On my second read, I realized I missed a page the first time. There is a hidden gem like what you get sometimes after the ending credits of a movie.

The synopsis of this tale is Death, who is a father, goes to see a psychoanalyst about his child who has no interest in grim-reaping.

Want to rip out the picture and hang them on my wall. A perfect, clever little tale with teeth and PINK. Five stars.

No words. Amazingly detailed pictures. The story is a morbid delight. I tore through this book and then read it again immediately after... I am very excited to have this on my bookshelf so I can shove it at all of my friends and make them read it.

What a lovely story to remind parents that they often misinterpret the actions of their children and that children follow in your footsteps but take their own path. The artwork is fabulous. I gave this to my nephew, who loves to draw the macabre and is taking his own path.

Death is upset when their child doesn't seem to want to follow in the family business.
A dark, sweet, and definitely timely little wordless story.

It was a three-year wait from the original Kickstarter until the book arrived.

Totally worth it.

I can't imagine the amount of work that went into handscratching every little line in these drawings, but Nicholas Gurewitch (the Perry Bible Fellowship guy) has created a beautiful book that is not only one of the purest love letters to Edward Gorey that has ever been created, but a wonderfully touching -- and twisted -- story.

I can't get over the artwork. I want to study this book.
