As much as I really liked it, I feel like it needed more. I wanted to know what happened to the angel and demon after the battle, more about how Emelle is learning about being a Cupid boss and living on earth, and it never says if she can go back to the veil with Ronak going feral. The one thing I absolutely did not like is Okot’s storyline. He comes in half way through the second book, and although I immediately liked him, since we were already half way through, there wasn’t much about him compared to the other 3. In this book, he’s in the first quarter and then the last couple of chapters. And don’t get me wrong, I love the other 3 mates, but if you’re throwing a fourth mate in there, throw him in. I just feel like Okot being a mate had nothing to do with anything because we barely see him in the three books.

Things progressed really fast in this book, but it was still a really fun and quick read. Emelle and the guys are fun and endearing, and I couldn’t wait to know what would happen to them next. The ending was really good, although a bit too fast paced. Again, I wish some elements of the world, the setting and the magic were better explained. The epilogue has me on the edge of my seat though, I cannot wait to read Lex’s story.

Well, it was a great ride but the emotional connection between the characters fell short. I agree with most of the reviews that feel that bit of lack. If she had kept going with them all continuing to connect into this book before they all broke apart to deal with drama, it would have felt more cohesive. But, again, more laughs and sass. Definitely worth reading. I can't stop laughing at the thought of a shirt for a cupid that says "I blow and shoot for a living"... just that edge of acceptable crass, you know?

A quote to end the series: Seeing the look in his eye, I shake my head. “Uh uh. I really am sleepy. No sexy times.” He laughs. “Sure.” I cross my arms. “I’m serious. My puss pearl is clammed up for the night. My tuna pot pie is already put away in the Tupperware. This fun hatch is closed for business, Evert.”

Priceless.
