Book #38 read in 2007

I have a gripe about authors who write "chapters" that are only two pages long, which was the consistent pattern in this book. I got this book from a friend, who made the comment that she can always guess Patterson's endings so sometimes she flips to the end of the books to see if she's right. That being said, I'm not sure why anybody would want to bother reading books like that except that it can be useful when you want something light while you're waiting for your plane, which is exactly when I read this.

I really like this series. The last one was kind of frustrating for me but since I really like the series I kept going. This one didn't disappoint. I was a bit worried that the one case wasn't going to come to a conclusion since page after page toward the end of the book lead to no conclusion. Everything was wrapped up in the end. A good read.

I'm always a big fan of James Patterson, and I like to think that his Woman's Murder Club is probably my second favorite series by him.

This book was pretty good, I enjoyed the characters and their friendships and how they always pull their sources and get the bad guy. This one was kinda creepy due to the fact that it dealt with doctors, and pharmacies and the many, many, many unexplained deaths that take please each day. And trying to find out who to blame in all this chaos.

Another crazy tale that was taking place was that of girls (escorts, ladies of the night, hookers, whatever you like) are getting killed and are being positioned in fancy luxury car, leaving them to look like beautiful porcelain dolls with the faint smell of perfume.

This one had me turning the pages faster than I thought and I was happy with that.

on to the next one.

Alright, so sometimes I read James Patterson. I also sometimes go to Starbucks to get my coffee, and often don't buy organic produce either!

So now that we have that out of the way...

James Patterson is sort of excrutiating in my opinion. He hardly writes his own books anymore it seems, or at least always insists on a co-author. Plus his dialogue and ESPECIALLY any semblance of a love scene are just almost painful to read -- I had the joy of listening since I read this on audiobook.

But the guy does know how to build tension and keep you interested in a story, so there's that. I listened to this to and from work for a week and you know what, there were times when I wanted to stay in my car to hear just one more chapter...so there's that, for what it's worth.

This is the 5th book in the series and it’s just as good as the others. I really like that there are at least 2 mysteries going on in the book. You think they go together, then you think nope they aren’t related, and then more twist and turns. Definitely keeps you going!
