Video review on youtube this week! - RICHARD

beautiful use of words. futuristic utopian (ie, dystopian but the main character and most of those around her are under the illusion that everything is great. It's NOT.). Throughout the story, i kept finding myself thinking "how much of what we do is controlled by our quiet and almost subconscious fear of government retribution?" the populace is very restrained and obedient (like sheep, i first thought), but aren't we kind of like that, too?
There is too much depth to this world to not have a sequel follow this story. there's a bit of romance, mostly intellectual and emotional, built on mutual rebellion against a repressive and very dangerous regime.

This book was not that good looking back

the audiobook is great really

I’ve seen this book around libraries and book stores, taunting me for the longest time. I had finally gotten around to it last week. The plot of the book to me was really slow in the beginning. Until there was not a lot of chapters left was when it got really good. I’ve always enjoyed reading dystopian books and seeing what an author can make when they put their minds to it. I still thought would prefer The Giver to Matched
