This is a really well done Joker comic. It's short and a stand-alone (as far as I know), which makes it easy to read in one sitting. The artwork is great. It's super gritty and perfect for the story that Azzarello wrote. By narrating from the perspective of Jonny Frost, the Joker maintained (maybe surpassed) his previous levels of creepiness and insanity. I feel like I need to read this one again because there's something I missed about Joker in here. But it was a good comic and I would recommend it for serious fans.

Joker was an interesting exploration of the life of a henchman in the Joker's arsenal. The unpredictability of Joker's actions effectively demonstrated his chaotic nature, harkening back to the best of the Joker's stories. The artwork by Lee Bermejo is incredible and heightened the feelings of tension and uncertainty that one expects from the best Joker stories. After reading so many Joker stories, it was refreshing to see one without a focus on the dark knight. However, the lack of an antagonistic force for Joker made him feel invincible, which lessened the tension for me. The main henchman character ("Jonny Jonny Frost") was interesting, but felt slightly held back at times. I would have preferred his character to feel more challenged and emotionally complex, to provide more of an emotional tension to the story.
Overall, I felt that this was a good short book, exploring the Joker's unpredictability very well, with gorgeous art, it is a good recommendation to any fan wanting to learn more about the clowned prince of crime.

4 stars. Very enjoyable Joker story. He’s just been released from Arkham Asylum (for whatever reason) and he’s on a mission to take back Gotham since it’s gone to hell since he’s been away. He meets a guy named Jonny Frost and employs him as his driver and then things get chaotic after that. The art style in this is so gritty and dark that it gives the entire novel such a grimy tone and feel to it that I really enjoyed. Joker is down right terrifying looking in a lot of the panels. I liked the Harley Quinn in this one as well. She doesn’t do anything of significance but the art style for her was different. I just wish she had a bigger role but whatever. The ending was really great and intense. I love Joker and Batman confrontation and this one was good.
Great Joker story. I really liked the story was told through a thug who was riding with joker and wants to find out how the joker 'is not crazy'. The ending where he realized that the joker is in fact not crazy but just plain evil led by his fluctuating emotions I loved.
Great comic not my kind of joker
This comic is well illustrated and has a good narrative, but for me there was something missing from the jokers character. It may be that I'm older and preferred the joker from my generation but in this comic I feel if you take off the make up off then the joker would just be another crazy criminal. Aside from that part I did enjoy the rest of it.
