Aphrodite is becoming less of a character I like. She says more horrible things than just snarky comments now and it makes me hate her. I love shaylin and idk how Erik got to be so awful but why are we pairing him and Shay together. Love what they did with Shaunee and Erin. Stark is annoying me a bit. Enjoyed Kalonas progression

Awesome, just Awesome! Nefferette is finally getting what's coming to her!! It's slow going, but the build up will hopefully be well worth it!! I'm wondering what's up with Nix's Consort. He's up to something!! I actually enjoyed Kolona's roll in this book! Grandma Redbird is, as always, a force to be reckoned with. She is one strong Lady!! The drop off, cliffhanger ending is a killer!! I can NOT wait till fall of 2013 for the next book!!!!

Grade: B+

And as per-usual, although this series drives me up the wall with how similar all the situations are and so on, I have to admit I totally loved it. Had me a little worried at the end there. I was about to be seriously upset.

I gave this four stars because, despite it being a long series and a lot of people thinking it could've ended a long time ago, it still keeps me interested. The characters are likable and amusing and I just enjoy reading the series.

Jeez! There is so much going on now! I cannot believe how many people have switched sides, or died, or something! I was so surprised by so many things in this book!

I know what you're thinking...4 stars?? Really? Well, compared to the last few, yeah, this book was pretty dang awesome lol. Maybe because it has so many different points of view now, so we're not stuck with Zoey all the time. (Bonus points: when we aren't in Zoey's head, we don't have to hear about her sudden onslaught of IBS. O.o Seriously?? Never been mentioned before and soooo not necessary!!) I honestly think this could have been a last book though, because of the ending. full review here.

Personally, I loved this book.

I know most people wont agree, but my opinion remains solid.

Throughout the series, i've struggled to relate to Zoey's boy-troubled side. Anything to do with multiple 'loves' is something I don't agree with, however, I see in Zoey, throughout these books, that she's just trying to find herself. She's discovering so many things for the first time, while having the typical teenage thoughts go through her head and battling evil at the same time. I don't relate to the way she talks, but i've got friends on the other side of the country that talk differently to me, it doesn't mean we judge each other for it.

I also think that having two writers is another reason for the multiple 'loves'. Each writer is going to have their favourite and fight for them to 'win', it's just a case of which wins out in the end.

I love the way these books are written. It's not that they're written perfectly, because they're not, they're far from being a Bronte or an Austen novel, but they're written in such a way that you're actually experiencing the characters thoughts for yourself, as if you're actually inside their heads, and that is what I love. It's more true to the human mind than most books, and I think that it's a brave way to write a book.

I do think that the Neferet story-line has over-run a little, but at the same time, so do most villains stories. Clearly PC & Kristen Cast are getting ready to wind this series up with the last two books on the way and i think they'll have a big story line coming up for that.

Over-all i've given this book four stars. In reality, i'd give three and a half. I didn't really enjoy the cliff hanger ending (but thats only because i'm itching to find out what happens next) and the fight was very short and not as detailed as i would've expected. Other than that, I did love this book and I'm excited for the next.
