Bastian and Rocklin had me caught up in their world from the moment I opened the book. Control and power are up for grabs, and as far as the storyline went... brilliant. Leave it to this author to slowly reel you in, spin the things around, make you all crazy and in the end strike like a thunderbolt! The way everything clicked...

Okay! I loved loved loved this book. I read the Boys of Brayshaw first and I am so glad. It gives to do much context that you need for this book. Bass is a bad@$$ and in so glad he found his kingdom. I want more. Great story, great characters, and I can't wait to dive in more.

Between the cover and synopsis, I had high hopes for the story. It seemed to be exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, the writing and plot points weren't good enough for me to love the story. The confusion I felt in the first little bit I could excuse as it building to something. However, it never progressed. The writing was all over the place. I felt that I was missing whole chunks of the story even though I hadn't skipped a page. The plot was disjointed and all over the place where I couldn't keep up with what was happening. Bass and Rocklin were so cute together and the reason I finished the book. I wanted their happily ever after. Rocklin seemed like a typical socialite and princess but she was so much more. Bass fought many hard battles and I wanted to hug him. His past really hurt. I wish the entire book would have been as great as the characters themselves. I'm not sure if I want to read the next book in this series.
