exactly my type of fucked up

3.5 stars - at times i was confused about where this book was going, but i still enjoyed my time reading it. i found gilda’s struggle with mental health to be extremely relatable and was written amazingly

this book gave me a mild existential crisis and made me cry and i deeply enjoyed it

It was an okay read, but I didn't really like the main character or find them and their story compelling - it felt quite boring and unimaginative. On top of this I didn't enjoy the writing style and struggled to find the energy to finish the book.

Personally, I feel like there are better novels that talk about mental health and the chaos it can sometimes cause given the right circumstances. However, I do like that not everyone was not put together. Everyone has issues. However, I don’t think this book is my cup of tea.
